SANDPIPER COTTAGE: Sleeps up to 10 in 2+bedrooms and has 1.5 bath. A delightful blend of seashore art and knotty pine like a Tahoe cabin at the Beach! With a porthole window and a rowing oar railing on the stairway, Sandpiper Cottage will make your stay a great adventure! Just a pleasant level 3-4 minute walk to Rio Del Mar State Beach or Seacliff State Beach Park, this attractive 2+ bedroom, 1.5 bath home has been recently remodeled, including brand new bathrooms, all new flooring, and window shades. After walking back from the beach, rinse off at the outdoor shower, & soak in the hot tub. Then go to the front deck with padded chairs, patio table, 9 foot umbrella, and gas barbecue to enjoy a comfortable, relaxed outdoor experience. There is 1-carport space off the lane in the back of the cottage and more space available on street parking with no permits required. The outdoor deck is surrounded with flowers. Master Bedroom upstairs has 1-Queen bed and stained glass lighting; with an elegant decor and TV with DVD player. The 2nd bedroom is downstairs with a nice beach decor with 1-Queen bed. The full bath is next to this bedroom. There is also a 1/2 bath between this Queen bedroom and the kid bunk alcove which has 2-Twin beds bunk style for small children or adults under 5'4". There are also two twin beds that are disguised as 3' square padded ottomans by day and transform quickly into a nice twin bed by night. The bedding and linens are new and colorful, and beach towels, chairs, and sand toys are included in this wonderful vacation home. Have fun cooking with others in this fully equipped kitchen with a table that seats 6-8. There is also a large washer and dryer at the home. Enjoy the cozy Living Room with 2 large couches one of which is a sofa bed. Also includes a large screen TV/DVD+VCR and a wood burning stove. Great rooms to sit, read, watch videos, listen to music or use the wireless internet with your laptop or iHome Station. The shelves are full of books, board games and cards and a CD player. There is a nice seafood restaurant, the Rio Sands, an Espresso bar, The Pixie Deli, with outdoor seating for BBQ Tri-tip & Chicken, and a small market on the Rio Del Mar Esplanade. The Rio Del Mar Beach is great for long runs of up to 7-miles or for shorter walks. Pet friendly! There is no yard for a dog, but it can be on the outside deck with its owners. Sandpiper Cottage is a central location for all activities in the Santa Cruz area and Monterey. Come enjoy yourselves on Rio Del Mar State Beach and Seacliff State Beach Park with its long log wharf and unique cement ship at the end that has been taken over by the local wildlife. The Seacliff Golf Course is just a 2-minute drive up the hill and the charming Village of Capitola is a short 7-minute drive from this home. It is 15-minutes north to the Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk and Santa Cruz Wharf with restaurants and shopping. The world famous Monterey Bay Aquarium is a scenic 45 minutes south. Be sure to call and get tickets in advance to avoid waiting in line when you get there!
