Elegantly decorated with a nautical air, it has two bedrooms with a King bed each, two baths, plus a Carriage House bedroom that can hold up to 4 more guests.The home has a full kitchen, a living room, a den with a High Def Flat screen TV, VCR and tapes, and a dining area that seat up to 8. The French doors in the living room open out into the well-maintained garden that features large mature trees, ivy hedges, a brick patio, two separate water fountains (seahorses and dolphins), and white wicker patio furniture which is cozy and inviting on a warm sunny day.Hideaway screens that roll-up inside the door frames, enable you to enjoy this beautiful garden while in the indoor sitting area, just past the French doors. A fiber optic-lit hot tub awaits you in a secluded area of the garden. AND, there is an extra studio apartment, the Blue Marlin, situated over the garage. A little private hideaway for extra guests, this sanctuary sleeps 4 and comes with a kitchenette. Bathroom access is back in the main house, via an outdoor staircase.The Pelican Roost is situated in the Santa Cruz friendly, historic Lower Westside area, a four-minute walk from the ocean and an established beach that has a stairway down to the sand.2 bicycles are available to travel ten minutes up the coast to Natural Bridges Beach with its famous rock formations and tide pools, or ten minutes down the coast past the Lighthouse to the Boardwalk and the Santa Cruz Downtown area. Several world-class surfing venues are nearby. The large sidewalk above the Ocean is one of the areas finest walks from the Santa Cruz Boardwalk to Natural Bridges State Park.The Blue Marlin which is included in renting the Pelican Roost is a carriage house on top of the garage on the side of the garden. It has 2-Double futons that can be made into sleeping beds by night and living room couches by day. This room has a small kitchen with a microwave and 2 person kitchen tables, small refrigerator and kitchen sink. Bathroom access is in the house next to the back door of the Pelican Roost. There are rather steep stair entries, so only recommended for agile guests. This home is pet friendly with a fenced-in yard.
