The "Jewel of Cape Breton" is this Baddeck Bay Compound (main house is 2 bedrooms 1 full + 2 half baths and separate guest cottage 1 bedroom 1 bath) which is located adjacent to the Bell Bay Golf Course and offers you world class views of the Bras D'or Lake. You have over 600-feet of Cape Breton Beach with a private dock for swimming in the 70 + degree water. The property is absolutely beautiful and spacious, lined with hedges, tall trees and a large fence, making it totally private. The porch is an excellent place from which to view the morning and evening sunscape, and the mountains across the bay. Private homes that can accommodate so many so pleasantly are hard to find.

Kildare Cottage is so well stocked that you will be spoiled for choice, including soft towels and wonderful crisp sheets. This luxury property offers a modern spacious kitchen, cozy living area with large antique stone fireplace and sleep sofa, master bedroom with king bed and decorative tile full bath plus a loft bedroom with half bath and spectacular water views in the 2,000 sq. ft. main house. The separate guest house features a large sitting/bedroom area with king bed, and a spa-like marble full bath for total relaxation.

Enjoy a covered porch for reading,relaxing and watching the world go by. Gaze across at the Beinn Breagh hillsides and historic home of Alexander Graham Bell. Walk across the road to the new Bell Bay Golf course, or up one mile to the picturesque town of Baddeck. Close to the Cabot Trail, beaches, museums, fishing, shopping and more. We had the best vacation ever. The setting is private, the views are stunning and the home is so well equipped. We swam off the dock in the front yard, watched the boats go by and viewed magnificent wildlife from the comfort of our deck. The town of Baddeck is simply charming.

Kudos to the Cottage Connection for finding this home for us. We have traveled through them before and found all of their properties to be 4-star quality. We will be back next year.
