We had the great fortune to book into Cape Mitikas unsure of what to fully expect. From the moment we were greeted at the airport until our departure six days later, we experienced one of the most enjoyable, friendly and relaxing holidays we have ever been on.
Our host, Andrea, could not do enough for us and it was her helpfulness and resourcefulness that overcame a few minor obstacles - and one major one, where she was able to provide a solution to our flight back to Athens being cancelled at the last minute!
We rented Panorama Villa, and were the first there for the season. The view was spectacular, a full 180 degrees to take in, including a number of islands just across the bay. Sitting out on a starry night, watching the lights of Skopolos was one of the many highlights.
The Villa itself was very suited to our needs, with a good mix of indoor space and outdoor terraces. The two bedrooms were light and airy, and the weather meant that we had most of our meals out on the terrace. The kitchen was a little understocked, but we understand that was due to the inability to get the full range of equipment in from the mainland.
The walk from the Villa down to the beach was not too challenging, and took about five minutes. The beach itself was also well worth the visit, sandy beaches and some of the most crystal clear waters we have ever experienced. Make sure you take the Water Taxi to Skiathos Town with its wide range of restaurants, tavernas, shops etc. There are a number of Tavernas on the beach at Achiadies, and you have to spend some time finding your favourite.
A very highly enjoyable stay.
