They have purchased ten 100 kilowatt blocks through their Green Power program, offsetting the environmental impact of driving 24,000 miles!
Legend has it that an Incan leader exclaimed 'ari quepay' (Yes, let’s stop here in Quechuan) when he found just the right place to live...and so the city of Arequipa, Peru, was born. We felt the same way when we found Casa Arequipa and hope you will as well, making our home your home for all your visits to Taos.

We live in Phoenix, AZ. When we can escape from work, we love to come up to Taos, especially in the summer.
Wendy Rozzelle purchased this house in 2004
We first came to Taos when we were undergraduates studying Geology at the University of North Carolina. During our summer of field camp, we fell in love with Taos. It took a long time to get back, but we are finally able to come up for vacations. We love the mountains for the views, hiking and skiing and both the art and intellectual scene in Taos. There is always something to do or learn and we look forward to the day when we can spend lots more time there!
Relaxing! Hiking, rafting, tubing, getting to know others in Taos, eating outside, going out to hear music or to learn something new at one of the many lectures offered in town and watching art being created all around us.
My large family enjoyed staying here during Thanksgiving Holiday, the set up was nice, we loved having the extra bathrooms and king sized beds. Unfortunately I didn't get to use the hot tub due to our toddler getting very ill, but it was nice to have a private yard area. Loved the very large dining table for cards and games.
When you eneter Casa Arequipa you can see imediately that the owner loves this house. The pictures and the description were accurate and we didn't miss anything there. The house is very welcoming, clean and well equiped with all essentials including; dish and laundry detergents of high quality, all organic items in the kitchen, bedding and towels. We felt home and took a good care as it's our own house. The owner was very helpful in providing an extra bed and didn't mind us bringing along our little dog.
House is situated somewhere in the middle between Taos and Skii Valley and it didn't take us long to get to the slopes. We might come back next year and i'm highly recomending this house for your stay.
Had the pleasure of staying at this home during the holidays and couldn't have had a more perfect experience! We loved how welcoming and cozy the home was to us. The kitchen and dining room were perfect for preparing and enjoying group dinners, the fireplace a great addition to our card nights, and the hot tub provided amazing views day & night. We were also quite close to the heart of town and the Ski Valley while still feeling like we were out on the open range. The home was very clean and included all of the amenities we needed - the washer & dryer was very handy after a long day of skiiing! This is the home we pictured when we dreamed of visiting Taos and we are definitely planning to return someday.
Casa Arequipa is a private, beautifully designed home with incredible views of the Taos mountains. Anyone lucky enough to spend their vacation here will not be disappointed in the cleanliness or grace of this wonderful house. Thoughtfully furnished with antiques from around the world, Casa Arequipa provides a unique and cozy environment for anyone hoping to temporarily escape the bustle of their everyday lives. I visited in late December of 2013 with my best friend and her family and we had a peaceful stay highlighted by delicious food from local restaurants (the home also has a large, fully stocked kitchen), great skiing, majestic views, and cozy evenings by the fire. In short, Casa Arequipa is a relaxing retreat that I cannot recommend highly enough. The home is also pet friendly, conveniently located for most Taos tourism/leisure destinations, and equipped with a great hot tub!
You will not be disappointed if you choose Casa Arequipa for you next Taos adventure. As you can see from the photos...this is a beautifully decorated home with expansive views, a lovely private garden, and large comfy beds. There is plenty of room in the main living area for cooking, dining, and watching a movie or two with friends. The home has everything you could need. Great location means you can head into town in just a few minutes or out to the mountains for some more serious exploring – or just sit on the patio and soak up the views of beautiful Taos! I highly recommend Casa Arequipa!
This was my family's second time to Taos and we had a fantastic time at Casa Arequipa. Everything was just as the website stated it would be. There were six of us and we were comfortable and enjoyed every amenity. This area of Taos is very convenient to skiing at Taos Ski Valley. I plan to stay here again.
