After spending a busy day in the centre of Paris (the métro line no. 1 goes right through Paris) come back to the peace and quiet of the warm and cosy flat.
Visit the numerous museums (easy transport takes you to the Louvre, Beaubourg, Musée d'Orsay, etc.)
Very good local bakers sell wonderful take-away food and the luxury Le Nôtre shop is nearby. The well-known frozen food shop, Picard, is a couple of minutes away. You can buy wine from one of the wine shops or visit the three supermarkets, and there are markets for fresh food.
If you don't like cooking, sample the excellent food in nearby restaurants (French, Chinese, Italian, Japanese, etc.) .
Have your breakfast in the corner café and read you English or American newspaper to be found in the newspaper shop.
Take a stroll, or even do some jogging in the Bois de Boulogne, which is the biggest park in Paris, and only a short walk away.
