This is a wonderful villa on one of the largest plots in Shangrila Park, Playa Blanca. A very large patio with covered pergola offers shade and privacy, with outdoor dining using the integrated barbecue. A second small patio with built-in Canary bench seat is outside the master bedroom. A secluded roof terrace provides a further private sun area with wonderful views to Montana Roja and across to Fuerteventura. Shangrila Park is a quiet community with one of largest pools on the island. A tennis court is available as well as a number of communal open 'play areas' on the complex.

This property has been freshly decorated by the owners, and includes access to free basic Sky TV, and wifi internet (also available via 42' internet TV). A second TV & DVD is wall mounted in the second bedroom. There is a wide selection of DVD and reading materials, and a CD player system. 3 x adult bicycles and a selection of children's toys are provided for the use of guests. The kitchen is fully equipped with oven, microwave, toaster and indoor and outdoor crockery.

All linen and towels are provided - local cleaning and maintenance contacts are on-site.

The nearest shops, bars and restaurants are a 10 minute walk away.

Late Arrivals can be accommodated by the on-site representative, and basic food provisions can be purchased at cost, and placed in the villa, if details are agreed in advance of arrival.

Normal entry time is 4pm, and normal departure time is 10am unless otherwise agreed in advance.

Excellent Family Holiday

we had a fantastic holiday in your villa. It was perfect for us. the kids had the large pool practically to themselves. Hope you don't mind but the kids enjoyed playing with toys in the bedroom - great for us as kept them amused on the 2 rainy days. Thanks again!

Month stay in villa

We stayed at this villa for a month in January 2013 for our 40th wedding anniversary. It was a little out of the way but we didn't mind and enjoyed walking to the bus stop and into Playa Blanca along the coast road. We enjoyed the exercise.
On arrival the villa had not been cleaned properly and we spent the following 24hrs cleaning it ourselves. Not a very good start. There were also several maintenance issues which we reported, broken settee, rusting microwave, rusty towel rails in main bathroom and a broken utility door which hung open. None of these were attended to whilst we were there, even though the "caretaker" lived on site.
The villa itself was spacious but was tired and in need of updating/replacing furniture and re decorating. The Kitchen cupboards and contents were dirty and greasy and we ended up washing the things we needed and used regularly, keeping them separate from the other equipment. It had recently been flooded and was being dried out but this was not a problem during the time we were there. The seating was inadequate, the two seater settee was very small and uncomfortable (and broken) and the two small chairs were also uncomfortable. We therefore returned home with back problems!
During the early part of our stay, the villa was broken into and some personal belongings taken. They entered through the faulty kitchen window at the back of the villa. Luckily all valuables and passports etc were in the safe so were not taken. Reporting to the police was difficult due to language problems but we were helped hugely by the resident "caretaker" for which we were very grateful.
We made the best of the holiday but can not recommend a stay here unless the cleanliness issues, re decoration, updating/replacement of some furniture/fixtures/fittings and security issues are addressed. JoaniW

Owner's Response: Thanks you for the review. Many people are not prepared for the wind which always blows on the island - although pleasant, it does mean that houses contend with dust in them all the time, even just after cleaning! Our property typically gets very good reviews on cleanliness, so your comments were a surprise, and had they been brought to our attention at the time we could have dealt with them. The break-in (our first and only one in 14 years) was bound to be unsettling, but the use of the safe hopefully helped! Since the flood you mentioned the house has been redecorated and a new settee installed. We upgraded many items during our stay this summer and are glad to have welcomed several happy guests since then.

fijn huis op een prachtig eiland

We hebben een fijne oud- en nieuwjaarsweek gehad in een mooi, ruime villa, dat op een bungalowpark ligt; ruim opgezet met min of meer identieke huizen. De villa is vrij gelegen met veel terrasruimte om en op het huis. Met zowel zon- als schaduwplekken. Veel privacy.
Het huis is comfortabel en compleet ingericht. Het huis is schoon en goed onderhouden.
Het park ligt op een half uur rijden van het vliegveld. Via de eigenaar ontvang tijdig een goede routebeschrijving. Een bewoner van een van de andere villa's op het park zorgt voor de ontvangst.

Het park ligt op loopafstand van Playa Blanca, een aardig plaatsje met een leuke boulevard met veel eetmogelijkheden aan het strand.

Tenerife is een prachtig eiland met veel wandelmogelijkheden en veel aardige, bezienswaardige plaatsen en plaatjes. Heel bijzonder dat zwarte, vulcanische landschap.

Tip: zonsondergang op een van de terrassen aan de kust bij El Golfo. Witte wijn en vis. Fantastisch!

Excellent holiday home

This is a lovely, well kept home on a beautiful and interesting island. The complex seemed really nice and friendly, although it was very quiet as we were out of season. The house itself was clean and well maintained. It was obvious that someone had equipped it for their own use as their was far more than just the usual basics provided and the house had a homely feel. It was a lovely house to bring a young family to, although I am sure it would work equally well for different groups of people. I would recommend that anyone staying here rented a car as it would have been a long walk into Playa Blanca. Other than this proviso I happily would, and will, recommend this property to friends and family and would stay there again myself on any return to the Island.

heerlijke vakantie

We zijn twee en een halve week in deze accomodatie geweest, januari 2012.
Het was een fijne plek met veel ruimte in en rondom het huis.
Het huis heeft geen verwarming, wat in januari een ietswat koude start van de dag betekende. Soms konden we buiten ontbijten, als de zon scheen en er weinig wind stond. Voor de rest van de dag voldeed het huis heel goed, het is er licht en sfeervol. De badkamer en keuken zijn goed uitgerust. We hebben lekker buiten gegeten, gebarbecued, gelezen en de kinderen flink gespeeld. Het zwembad is echt te koud in januari en konden we niet gebruiken. De uitzicht op de montana roja is super. De hulp van Ian, de beheerder voortreffelijk.
Een auto is wel nodig om op pad te gaan, er staan ook twee mountain bikes en een jeugdfietsje, die hebben we niet gebruikt. Playa Blanca is paar minuten rijden, parkeren is daar in januari geen probleem. We vonden Playa Blanca ook heel verzorgd en mooi met de vele palmbomen. We gingen na onze uitjes altijd graag naar huis.

Playa Blanca is in the South of the island and boasts a wonderful area of beaches, shops, dramatic scenery, restaurants, and bars. The town also boasts a new marina as well as the original port where you can reach Fuerteventura for a short day trip. Shangrila Park is on the edge of Playa Blanca next to Montana Roja and the town centre can be reached in 5 minutes by car, 10 minutes by local bus service, or 15 to 20 minutes by bicycle on the wonderful new promenade by the coast. Shangrila Park is a vehicle free community (free parking is provided on-site) with the only collection of Moroccan style detached single-storey villas and apartments on the island. Coffee shops, bars, supermarkets, buses and taxis can be accessed within 10 minutes walk but a car is the best way to explore the whole of this wonderful island during your stay. Residents and visitors of Shangrila Park can enjoy free access to tennis courts, open communal play areas, and large pool.

Other Activities: a new water park is open, easily accessible by the bus service or a round a 20 minute walk from the house.

Golf: There are two golf courses already on Lanzarote with a third under construction nearby in Playa Blanca. A day trip to Fuerteventura by ferry from Playa Blanca provides another option for a day's golf.

Freshly decorated by the owners, it includes access to free basic Sky TV.and wifi / internet access. There is a wide selection of DVD and reading materials, and a CD system / DVD player. 3 x adult bicycles and a selection of children's toys are provided for the use of guests. 4 x Sun loungers are provided on the large tiled terrace to the side of the property, a further small patio with bench seat outside the master bedroom, and a secluded separate roof terrace. A large table with 6 seats under the pergola provides a shaded outdoor area for breakfast and lunch, and a cool brightly lit area for dinner. An additional table with chairs provides another informal dining area just outside the entrance, or for use on the small patio. An outdoor chimney barbecue is accessed from the main patio / pergola area.
