This chalet is situated in a stunning location with a beautiful private 2 acre lake and surrounding woodlands (totaling 1 hectare). There is accommodation for 3 persons and is situated in a quiet location, which is entirely private and exclusive to the renter. The land is accessed by a private track and the lake is surrounded by fenced-in land. Ideal for a a couple or even a family wanting a peaceful holiday secure in the knowledge they have complete privacy whilst staying in a magnificent setting. The chalet has commanding views over the lake with decking and patio furniture. Here you and your family can enjoy those long warm summer evenings enjoying the French wine and soaking up the atmosphere. Situated in a shady area overlooking the lake - there is also a BBQ/picnic area. On the lake there is a jetty with 2 x canoes and rowing boat where you can try a spot of fishing.

Situated in the Correze region of SW France, this area boasts many tourist attractions. Within walking distance is a large country park with lake and public beach. Here there are many designated country walks plus tennis, mini golf and a park restaurant. The historic town of Masseret is only 5kms away – with its bakers, butchers, gastronomic restaurant, pharmacy, supermarket, hairdressers and newsagents. Masseret is also noted for its magnificent tower which dominates the town. The town also has a train station with trains direct to the city of Limoges – world famous for its porcelain. Limoges is also only ½ an hours drive away and here there are plenty of cultural attractions: Explore some mysterious underground passages. The Limoges Tourist Office organizes guided tours. Visit the Musée de l'Evéché, which boasts a wide range of Impressionist paintings by Renoir, who was born in Limoges. Nearby - discover the Resistance Museum which shows the history of Limoges during WW2.

Additional information about rental rates

  • A non-refundable deposit of 20% is required at the time of booking with the balance due six weeks prior to the start of the holiday. If booking is made within 6 weeks, then full payment is required on arrival.

    Bookings are normally Saturday to Saturday except by special arrangement.

    A key/security deposit of £200 (the equivalent in euros) will also be required 6 weeks prior to the rental period to cover any accidental damage/breakages. This security deposit will be refunded after departure, subject to there being no damage to - or excess cleaning of the property.

    Special rates available for long off-peak periods. Electric radiators can be supplied and charged on meter.

    Bedlinen and towels are supplied.

Notes: IMPORTANT NOTE: The lake is not fenced off and is therefore young children are to be supervised at all times. Chalet overlooking the lake comprises: Fully equipped, new fitted Kitchen. One bedroom with 1 double bed and bed-settee, wardrobe. One shower-room with WC. All necessary crockery, cutlery, cooking utensils, duvets and pillows, towels and bed linen for 3 persons are provided. Just off the kitchen there is a large wooden terrace with patio furniture. Optional 4 birth tent available on request. Detached shower block with WC and wash basin. Please note that this property does not have a swimming pool but 9000m2 lake.
