The property is in the small village of Aas, situated a kilometre away from the thermal spa town of Eaux-Bonnes. It is only a half hour dive to the Spanish border at the Col de Portalet and a ten minute drive to the Col d'Aubisque which takes you into the Lourdes valley and is a popular stage of the Tour de France.
The excellent ski station of Gourette is only a 15min drive away and also Artouste and Formigal Stations are available and cater for all grades of skiing. Lift Passes and ski hire very reasonably priced.
The property is within the Pyrenees and only twenty minutes drive from the National Park, so a vast area for beautiful walks, lakeside picnics, photography,and seeing mountain wildlife.
Pau is the nearest main town for the Railway and Airport (Ryannair flies daily from Stanstead) and has excellent shopping and facilities.
Situated so far south the weather is notably sunny and warm and being in the mountains, the air is invigorating.
