Beach Details...: The Pelican home is located on the beautiful 'Sun Coast' of Florida. There are many beaches close to the house including the Private Gulf of Mexico Beach Club that is in the community where the Pelican home is located. Other beaches in the area include Howard Beach, Sunset Beach, Anclote River Park, Green Key Beach Park, Clearwater Beach, Honeymoon Island, Calidesi Island and more. Provided with the home is a driving guide that has directions to these beaches and more.
Area Attractions: There are many family activities in the area including, horseback riding, para sailing, kyaking, canoeing, hiking on nature trails, bike riding, shelling on the beaches and more. Attractions include Bush Garden family amusement park, Adventure Island water park, MOSI - Museum of Science and Industry, Clearwater Marine Aquarium, Florida Aquarium, Lowry Park Zoo, Tarpon Springs Sponge Docks, and more.
Visit the Tropical Islands in our boat: Many of the guests that come to stay in our Pelican home enjoy the tropical islands that are just 3 or 4 miles offshore. These beautiful islands are state and county parks and are accessible only by boat. During the week these islands are virtually deserted islands and you have them all to yourself. The islands include Anclote Key, Three Rooker Bar, Honeymoon Island, and more.
Golf: Golf courses are everywhere. They range from the local 9 hole course in the community that has green fees of about $15 to the world class InnisBrook course of Copperhead. Some of the courses include Crescent Oak Country Club, Cypress Run Golf Club, Tarpon Springs Golf Club. In Clearwater are Airco Golf Course, Chi Chi Rodriguez Golf Club, Clearwater Country Club, Countryside Country Club, and Cove Cay Country Club.
