The sea here is particularly clean & transparent. This resort, which has often been awarded the European Union’s Blue Flag for the quality of its sea, its environment & its accommodation, offers a choice of fully-equipped bathing beaches & ample stretches of public beach, with a guaranteed life-guard service (Punti Azzurri). Very interesting places: BOLGHERI: Immortalised in Giosuè Carducci’s poem 'Before San Guido', 'I cipressi che a Bolgheri alti e schietti van da San Guido in duplice filar...' (The cypresses of Bolgheri, tall & straight, march from San Guido in a double line…) this ancient village has a fascination all of its own. A stone’s throw from the sea and surrounded by countryside where vines & olive trees thrive, this little town with its unspoilt architectural harmony is dominated by the red brick castle which guards the entrance to the village of narrow paved streets & old stone houses bright with geraniums. Spectacular sunsets & darting swallows enliven the skies. Craft shops, wine shops & taverns offer traditional, local products. The churches, the poet Giosuè Carducci’s childhood home & San Guido’s oratory are fascinating to visit, while the surrounding countryside with its holiday & horse-breeding farms is the ideal place for walking, cycling or horse riding. The first WWF wildlife refuge in Italy.
Local events: Castagneto (March-April): A tour of the traditional cuisine of Castagneto rich in unusual and delicious dishes gives you the opportunity to try a wide variety of local wine, among the most praised in the world, such as the legendary Sassicaia. Visitors can have dinner in local restaurants, stop at selected wine shops and taste different kinds of wine produced along the Wine Route and go on guided tours to wine cellars. There are also other cultural initiatives like conferences or book presentations. It is a great opportunity to discover the beauty of this ancient village. It is home to the headquarters of the same local authority which also oversees Bolgheri.
Bibbona (May): From the sea we turn to the land. Here a national mountain-bike competition takes place in the woods of Macchia della Magona at a short distance from the sea. Along a 56 km route the participants in the race and those who choose the 'environment-friendly walk'. WINE TOUR DOC BOLGHERI !!!! Visits with tourist guide.

Dear Marina, good afternoon!
This is Anna from Moscow (we stayed at your villa in June). We finally came home, unpacked and life came back on track. But sometimes at supper we open the bottle of wine (it's fantastic!) we bought together with you and memories come flooding back :)
It was a wonderful week at your villa. And we really felt in love with Marina Carducci, house, food and atmosphere. I feel how much health these pine trees, sea and swimming pool brought to our children.
So I would like to pass you thanks from my friends for the rest we had. And from me and my family special thanks and warmest sympathies! It was a great pleasure to meet you! And we are happy that this place has your face!
I was really delighted to read your letter in the car when we left. And I will keep it like a memory for sure! :)
If you decide to come to Moscow please contact me! I will be glad to help in anything you need.
I don't say "goodbye" but say "goodbye for now" as I hope to come next summer for longer stay and take my parents.
I attach some fotos :)
PS Later I will write the review on site for you to have good business.
