Amarilla Golf Vacation Rental apartment: Fairways Club

You would not like this stay away!! And leave this gem to me and my family and the rest of us in the know. My family and I have holidayed at Fairways for several years now, and have rented a number of apartments at the complex. I have to say that Therese and Peter's “The Garden of Sun” is called such for obvious reasons and it is superior to all by a massive margin. Even the timeshare properties of which we have viewed are not in this class. It has been very well modernised, and is superbly equipped with absolutely everything that we needed. Everything on one level, two bathrooms, a Samsung LCD TV, (with Sky Sports – Sun, Sea and Sky Sports what a combo) DVD with new DVD’s, books and games, fans and even a lovely Christmas Tree!! A clean modern kitchen with quality “white” goods, including a built in fridge freezer, Siemens dishwasher, washing machine, microwave, kettle toaster, ceramic hob and a spotless oven. A walk in shower, a super king-size bed in the main bedroom and an additional Samsung TV. The safe is a great idea and provides peace of mind rather than having to tuck valuables away, and forgetting where they have been lodged!! Even fly screens on the doors. No jockeying with Germans for the sun beds around the pool because the sun terrace is superbly appointed for all day sun, (hence the name) and the pool bar will even serve you a cold beer (or two) from it. Los Abrigos is a small fishing village that is within walking distance, but will take time to get there, and provides some of the finest restaurants locally, where you can sit, eat and watch a sun setting over a mirrored sea. Simply because there are at least 6 in every town in the UK I hadn’t tried the Chinese restaurant adjacent to Fairways before. But laziness and a yearning forced me to give it a try. I was very surprised at the quality and reasonable prices. There is also a small supermarket which provides papers, milk and fresh bread etc. Kids are well provided for with a pool attendant that often arranges water based fun activities for all to join in. The kids soon get to know one another and many friendships have been made over the years. The complex is secure and access is only granted by card key entry. To be honest, older teens may find this location a little too “relaxed” for them, but my second oldest son is 13 and managed to enjoy every moment still. My oldest is 18 and a bit Kevin and Perry and I think that he prefers the lure of Ibiza – Good luck to him, been there done that and I prefer a little bit of heaven on earth rather than hell these days!! Therese and Peter provided up to the minute guidance on the location and were very friendly. The apartment is located no more than 15 minutes from the airport and Los Cristianos and Playa de las Americas is less than 20 minutes from leaving to parking. All areas of the island are accessible and to make the best I would recommend hiring a car. Amarilla Car Hire is located on site and Steve and Susanne are a success purely because of their friendly helpfulness and great rates of course!! Their cars are new and if required, they can provide a pick up and drop off airport service. Steve and Susanne also manage the apartment and are an outstanding couple. They were keen to ensure that everything ran smoothly. The apartment and its amenities were spotlessly clean. "The Garden of Sun" is fantastic and I can certainly recommend it to all, (but please don’t tell your friends). Thanks Therese and Peter for allowing us the privilege of spending a tropical Christmas in your beautiful apartment, we hope to make a repeat booking soon.
