Two pretty semi detached cottages in a small rural hamlet on secluded hillside with magnificent views. Explore Tuscany, including Florence, Siena, Pisa, the Tuscan coast and the colourful fishing villages of the Cinque Terre. Retaining original features and character, with wooden staircases, terra cotta floors and beamed ceilings, but with modern fitted kitchens, new bathrooms & central heating. A long spacious terrace runs in front of the houses, each of which is equipped for al fresco dining. There are gorgeous views from the shared swimming pool, set on a terrace among the olive groves.

The smaller of the two cottages, Casa Dante has steep wooden staircases, cosy little bedrooms, exposed wooden beams (low in parts), and terra cotta floors. Ground Floor: Living/dining room with fitted kitchen and wood burning stove. First floor. Double bedroom with small ensuite bathroom with shower. Second floor: Attic bedroom (no door).

Particularly rewarding is to cycle around the 2.5 mile tree lined city walls. In the hills surrounding Lucca are many exquisite historical villas, with beautiful formal gardens, most of which are open to the public.
