Quietness, privacy, nature, swimming pool...

We have just returned from our stay in Los Halcones and I'm already missing the swimming pool, the shady areas of the garden (a must in August, although there are many zones where you can sunbathe from morning till dawn if you dare), the quietness only broken by the sounds of the birds and the sheep and the occasional bark of a distant dog. The villa is as described, not luxurious at all (except for the huge jacuzzi) but big enough for up to 10 people, cosy and with a well-equipped kitchen. There is plenty of amenities for children and grown ups, just as you can see in the description and photos of this site. And if you want to go out and visit northern Majorca, the house is only at 20 minutes drive from the beautiful towns of Pollença and Alcudia and from the large beach at the Bahía de Alcudia. Ideal house for families with children, my 9 year old son cried this morning when we left the house because he said he would miss the pretty pony you can see in the pics above.
Alberto and Francisca are very friendly and helpful. Alberto visits the house to clean the pool and do the gardening every other day, always respecting the privacy of their guests.
We are from Mallorca and decided to rent this villa as our relatives from mainland Spain came to visit us and our house in Palma is not big enough to acommodate 9 people... and doesn't have swimming pool.

What can I say, I almost feel that I am doing my family an injustice by singing the praises of this beautiful villa, only because we would love to re visit next summer and would like to safe guard availability. The Villa is so child friendly, even the children as old as 14 loved it ! Mainly due to the animals they could visit each day. The Villa is as described and even at arrival at 2. o'clock in the morning was easy to find with directions supplied by the owner. While at the Villa you are totally lost in your own world because the seclusion is amazing, although saying this this you are never more than 20 / 40 minutes away from resorts such as Alcudia and Palma Nova. Alberto and Francessca who are the owners where lovely and even came to visit during one of the Spanish festivals and gave us a gift for the amazing outdoor barbeque. This Villa is well worth a visit and I would like to say a huge thank you to Alberto & Francessca.

wonderful los halcones

just spent a week at los halcones, franscisca and alberto were friendly and helpful.farmhouse was clean and large.
underated we thought! , had everything you could need for children, pool table, table tennis, tv,books,games.crazy golf,pool toys,swings trampoline,darts,.kids never once bothered us,because they had so much to play with. it was heaven to get up and go for a swim,to find a peacock wandering around the well stocked and loved garden! there were essential supplies of tea,sugar,toilet roll,which was great because we arrived very late! the jacuzzi was brilliant! we shall be booking again next year, this time for 2 weeks , one is not enough.we had no trouble with sheets ,blankets as other people have stated, campanet village 10 mins walk.alcudia 20 mins drive,recommend you take a drive to sa colobra, stunning place, but scary going up those mountains! all in all , a wonderful relaxing holiday, with a private road to farmhouse.ps , along driveway to farmhouse , an orchard of figs,oranges , lemons, and i must confess , i did steal 2 oranges , (my apologies franscisca) and they were the best i ever tasted!

2nd visit & we still love this villa

Los Halcones, where do I start? The villa is as described. It is located far enough from Campanet to have complete privacy.

The villa has everything you need for your holiday, is clean, comfortable & air conditioned. The size of the bedrooms is great.

The garden is huge with well kept plants which are tended every other day. There are plenty of space for sun bathing, with sun loungers provided & a number of table & chairs for outdoor living. More importantly there are always areas you can sit in the shade when you want. There is a large roof terrace with loungers, tables & chairs which gets the sun all day. The pool is great and regularly cleaned with underwater lights which makes swimming later in the evening even more tempting. There are kids outdoor toys, swing etc although our teenagers were a bit beyond that. There are a few crazy golf holes, a pool table under a canopy outside & a table tennis table - all popular with us.

The villa is not far from the supermarket - the Eroski in Sa Pablo is probably the closest biggish one & had everything we needed. Not far from great beaches & excellent markets are found all round the area - Inca on a Thursday is well worth a visit. The caves at Campanet are also very much worth visiting.

Alberto, the owner who tends the garden & cleans the pool does not speak English but Francesca his wife does have some. They make you most welcome and we found them to be really friendly & helpful.

This is our 2nd visit & we still love Los Halcones & cannot recommend it enough!
