Lake Berkley Vacation Rental villa: Luxury Resort at

This is the first vacation where we've actually rented a villa instead of staying at a resort and overall it was great having the conveniences and comfort of being at home.

We thoroughly loved having access to a kitchen to make breakfasts and lunches; dinner's were more difficult as the kitchen is not all that equipped for actual cooking (one burner on stove is broken, frying pans are ready for discard, BBQ did not have a propane tank and no regulator to hook up to gas and we weren't thrilled that we had to go and by basic cleaning supplies such as dish soap).

The pool was a joy after 10 hour days of non-stop walking although we didn't enjoy the jacuzzi as it was on timer and was the same temp as the pool by the time we arrived back home every night. The scenery from the pool area was incredible and the flock of herons that rested on the banks of the wildlife pond were breathtaking.

The house does have an early 90's feel and the wear on the house and furniture is noticeable (my six year old son would sit at the kitchen table to eat his cereal and his chin would be level with the table (he's tall at 51") as the chairs did not have any spring left in them. The dryer seems to have a thermostat issue as it would take anywhere from two to three cycles of drying time to get dry clothes - it would take about three hours to dry a load of towels; but coming home with clean clothes instead of looking forward to laundry after vacation is a godsend in any form. All the beds we occupied (party of 7 (four adults, three children) were extremely hard/firm; but after long days at the parks we would just come home and head to the pool after dinner and then off to bed to rest for the next busy day - when you're exhausted a bed is a bed.

The security and property maintenance staff are wonderful and extremely courteous/friendly and quick to respond (we couldn't access the wireless internet at first and within two days a wireless router was installed).

In addition the area is so accessible to everything you need (GPS makes manourvering seamless in Florida)! It was less than 20 minutes to any of the four Disney and two Universal parks and Premium Outlet mall, as well there are endless factory outlet stores all nearby on the freeway. The Wallmart Supercentre that is walking distance from the house is quite old; but there is a brand new one that is only five minutes driving distance away that is fabulous with a bigger selection of merchandise.

We returned a week ago from a 2 week stay at this lovely Villa. The location is perfect, the views overlooking the lake are truly stunning and we even had a little family of ducks coming to the door to be fed! It's so unusual to see so many birds making their home on such a small island that it feels like you are a nature reserve.

The villa itself is beautiful and exactly as described. The Master Bedroom on the ground floor is huge, and one morning we had terrific thunderstorms which to lie in bed and watch over the lake was amazing.

The lounge, kitchen and dining room were all very comfortable, and as we travelled as a party of all ages we all appreciated comfort at the end of a hard day at disney!

The pool itself was a great way of cooling off and keeping my 6 year old entertained!, and of course the views over the lake help too.

We walked out in the evening a couple of times to nearby restaurants within a 20-30 min walk but also went that bit further in the car.

We had a great holiday, and if will definately be back soon.

Just to say we had a great holiday in May 2009 for 3 weeks,
the villa was fantastic ideally situated and the pool and Jacuzzi were second to none, myself my wife and friends have been to Florida 12 times in 19 years and this is by no doubt is the best villa position and views over a lake from a villa we have seen,

great views every morning and evening watching the wild life, coming and going, I have never seen otters in there natural habitat before but watching them outside the screened pool area most mornings was a great site, if you are an early riser like we were,

All shopping needs only 5 minutes drive to the super Wall Mart, also across the road is the 192 Flea Market,

There is also a great selection of shopping outlets when driving down the 192 highway to old town Kissimmee en route to Disney, also to mention multiple shopping outlets traveling towards international drive and universal studios and sea world en route from the villa

All theme parks within 20 minutes drive from villa,

Highly recommended for families and couples who just want to relax

I will return To Florida in the future, and to save myself time looking where to stay I know just the
Place.
