Such a clean kitchen

Review Submitted: April 17, 2012 Date of Stay: March 2012
In all the times we have been in France I have never seen such a clean kitchen !!! That is one thing that I am funny about, I know it is a stupid thing to go on about but the whole place was spotless. Even better than all the ones in all the other countries around the world we have stayed in.

A quiet little haven in the Normandy countryside

Review Submitted: August 18, 2011 Date of Stay: August 2011
This lovely little cottage has virtually everything you could want or need for a pleasant stay in the region. It is very well situated for those who don't mind driving a little: just out-of-the-way enough to be calm, without being to far from major points of interest (castles, beaches, etc.). Day trips to Bayeux, the D-Day beaches, Falaise & even Mont Saint MIchel are all quite easy drives.

The property was not difficult to find and is very well-maintained. It is very accurately described in the listing. We were 6 staying there & it was quite spacious & comfortable enough for us all. It would be an excellent holiday rental for families with young children (infant cot, highchair, fenced garden, etc.).

We highly recommend La Vigne Cottage as a holiday rental in Normandy!

Owner's Response: We do try to cater for all our guests needs and dont just supply the basiscs, we like people to feel home from home. Because the cottage is very central it does allows many places of interest to be visited without a long journey, and through beautiful unspoilt countryside on quiet roads

Beautiful holidays

Review Submitted: August 9, 2011 Date of Stay: July 2011
We have beautiful holidays in normandy. The accommodation in the holiday house was pleasant and recovering. There was very much to see and explore. If I have my private vacation report finished, I give the crucial section you.

Owner's Response: We are pleased that you had a relaxing and pleasant holiday. We try very hard to ensure that everything is available in the cottage to make our guests comfortable and have everything that they may require in the way of equipment etc. We are constantly upgrading the property and replacing damaged or worn out items, whilst keeping its character.

Wonderful Holiday 2011

Review Submitted: July 8, 2011 Date of Stay: June 2011
What a delightful cottage in the country! It is better than we expected and more. The cottage is located just off a quaint French country road and it is very accessible to the WWII historical sites, medieval castles, and many charming towns and villages. We had 4 adults and 3 teenagers and there was more than enough space and it was spotlessly clean. The owners take great care in providing detailed instructions on how to use appliances and where everything you need is. We definitely recommend the cottage to our friends and family who really want a nice French experience!

Normandy Tour

Review Submitted: September 18, 2009 Date of Stay: August 2009
Our original plans called for two couples to share accomodations at La Vigne however unforeseen circumstances caused our travelling friends to cancel their trip to France. Thus we had the cottage to ourselves for our week tour of Normandy. This made the accomodations very spaceous and comfortable for just the two of us.
The cottage is rustic (as one could expect for a 300 yr old farm house) but very adequate and well equipped for a great home away from home. The location is ideal if you like rural settings and we do. Also we found La Vigne a perfect central point from which we could day trip to all the site we wanted to see. After a day of sight-seeing it was a pleasure to return to the cottage for a quiet drink and reflection on the back patio.
The closest village for good provisions is a short car ride away so make sure come stocked your initial essentials. Grocery shopping can be done daily at a number of close by villages.
Overall we enjoyed our stay at the cottage (even the rooster) with very few complaints.
