Villa Bruschetti is an ancient noble estate that is immersed in the peaceful countryside surrounding Empoli. A classical garden, part formal (Italian garden), part natural, complete with towering cypress trees, creates an elegant backdrop from which to admire the lush Florentine hills that surround the villa. This 19th-century nobleman's home offers an idyllic Tuscan setting, total privacy and an enviable location just 30 minutes from Florence. Set on three levels, this villa is furnished with elegant antiques, decorative floors and elaborately frescoed ceilings. An impressive ornamental fireplace also adorns the dining room. From the house itself, and especially from the dining terrace, there are a marvellous views of the Florentine hills. Empoli, with a large supermarket, shops, and restaurants is a five minutes drive away. Here trains depart to Florence, Pisa and Siena all within 1 hour train. This strategic location is ideal for numerous day trips also to the coastal resorts.

Located among rolling hills just 30 km southwest of Florence, this eighteenth-century residence also provides a lovely base for exploring beloved Tuscany. San Gimignano with its circle of towers is a 45-minute drive from the villa, and Siena, Cortona and many other medieval hill towns are reached within 90 minutes. A short drive to the west lies Lucca, a town as charming as any in Tuscany, & beyond is the Ligurian Riviera with its popular beach resorts, shopping & lively nightlife. A five-minute drive from Bruschetti is Empoli, home to a supermarket, restaurants, shops & a train station where several different rail lines intersect. Even nearer is the village of Martignana, where basic conveniences are available.

  • Ground Floor: The main door opens onto a hall. Stairs to the right lead to the first floor. To the left a glass door provides access to the long spacious drawing room with fireplace. French windows open onto an outside veranda. The dining room next door has a wonderfully frescoed ceiling. There is a fabulous old-style kitchen, yet with all mod-cons and a dining table for 6. A small service bathroom completes the floor. First Floor:At the top of the stairs on the right are three twin bedrooms - two with en suite bathrooms with tubs and the other sharing a bathroom with tub with a double bedroom. On the left of the landing there is a sitting-cum-TV room followed by a further two double bedrooms and two bathrooms one of which en suite; the other is shared with another one bedroom this with a French-size bed. On a slightly raised level there is access to a single bedroom, again with French-size bed and en suite bathroom. These last three bathrooms are equipped with half-size tubs.
