We loved the beautiful oceanfront views and sleeping to the sound of the waves just yards away from the Caribbean. Though a bit run down, this residential area is secure and quiet and literally on the beach. The pools are well maintained. This studio is modest, but nice and clean; it has a king bed and a kitchenette that has everything you need if you choose to do your own cooking. It is close to quaint Marigot and it's wonderful French bakeries. Eating out options are vast: everything from a sandwich at a restaurant on the sand, (Tropical Wave at Le Galion Beach) to lovely fine dining (La Samanna Restaurant with stunning views of Longue Beach). We easily explored (on narrow roads!) the island with it's colorful Caribbean views, and enjoyed many days at different beaches. We had good customer service from the owner and the real estate agent on site. We would definately recommend it if you are looking to be independent and want more of a quiet, laid back vacation.
