About Peter and Sue Orton
I am a twice retired teacher, still teaching occasionally, with wife Sue retired this summer (2014) but continuing on supply.
We have lived in the same house in Sutton Coldfield
for nearly 30 years but intend to take advantage of retirement and spend more time in Pissouri in the future.
Peter and Sue Orton purchased this villa in 2006
Why Peter and Sue Orton chose Pissouri Village
Buying in Pissouri was pure fluke. We came across the area, almost by accident, during a visit in 2005 and immediately fell in love with it. We initially placed a deposit on a nearby apartment but changed our minds and lost the deposit after being introduced to 'Lysandra'. The deposit was well worth losing when taking into account the space and freedom we bought. It is situated in a quiet cul de sac and so close to the village square. The neighbours are British expats and all very friendly ensuring that we have a warm welcome on every visit.
What makes this villa unique
Sea and mountain views, beautiful sunrises over the Med, enhanced by breakfast on the patio. Shops, bars, restaurants and tavernas can be found in the nearby village square all offering excellent food and superb genuine Cypriot hospitality. A five minute drive takes you to the bay and beach for energetic sea activities or watching the world go by.
Again there are excellent eating places for all tastes and budgets. Not too far away there are other beaches at Melanda, Kourion, Avdimou and others.
The large towns of Paphos and Limassol are very accessible via the motorway and can both be reached in less than half an hour. An excellent base for access to all parts of the island.
Guestbook comments from the owner
We came back from Cyprus and stayed 10 days in the Lysandra house in Pissouri village.
We are a French family with two children and the house was perfectly suited for us, confortable, well equipped and spacious.
The village of Pissouri is very cute and perfect for visiting the rest of the island. Pissouri Bay has a beautiful beach 5 minutes away by car.
We very much enjoyed our stay in your house.
