Located just three miles from Doolin - spiritual home of traditional music and Lisdoonvarna 'Spa Town' - renouned for its suplher baths, and within easy driving distances of rock climbing, surfing, costal walks, horse riding, golf, the Cliffs of Moher and the Ferry to the Aran Islands. A green road walking route through the Burren goes right bast the house, looping into Lisdoonvarna. Gentian Cottage is ideally situated for all your holiday needs.

Loved the cottage, loved Doolin, Loved it all!

This house is so serene and away from it all. Anne, the owner is a real jewel. She was so kind and stocked the fridge with juice, milk, bread, upon the arrival. The tour of the castle she provides is well worth your time. I hope to be back in Doolin and stay at this house again very soon.

Picture Perfect Cottage!

I loved the cottage! The description and pictures aren't in the least bit exaggerated. Everything is just as lovely as it seems. The cottage kept us warm and cozy for the week we were there, and the view from the cottage, in every direction, is breath-taking. It's only a short walk to the shore, which you can see from the cottage.
Anne is such a lovely person and was very kind and accomodating whenever we spoke with her.
I would stay there again in a heartbeat!

My family and I had a wonderful time staying at Gentian Cottage last summer. This property has incredible views of the ocean and is located in a region that offers many sightseeing opportunities--beginning with the exclusive visit to the castle owned by the same family who owns Gentian Cottage! The building itself is a wonderful property and has ample rooms and bathrooms for your group. You won't be disappointed!!!

Dieses Haus wird ihnen viel Freude bereiten:
Es ist sehr sauber, die Zimmer sind wunderschön,
die Aussicht auf das Meer grandios.
Ann ist eine großartige Gastgeberin, ein Startpaket
mit Eiern, Kaffee, Tee, Milch etc. war bei unserem Eintreffen
ebenso vorhanden wie Torf zum befeuern des offenen Kamins
.
Man kann vom Haus aus sehr schöne Ausflüge machen, z.b.: Cliffs of Moher, Doolin, The Burren... und jede Menge mehr.
Aber auch die Ruhe die diese Gegend umgibt ist einfach super.

Wir hoffen bald mal wiederkommen zu können.
