The property faces the sea with fine views of the Saronic Bay and the small island of Aggistri with the Peloponnese in the distance. Sipping ouzo on the large shady veranda, lounging on cushions in the central courtyard, or swimming lengths in the salt water pool, you can feast your eyes on the intense blue of the Mediterranean, traversed occasionally by picturesque fishing or sailing boats. The villa is arranged around a central courtyard, and combines traditional neo-classical elegance with beautiful modern design. The main building houses a good sized living room and kitchen. The bedrooms and bathrooms are distributed in the other two buildings. The accommodation is high quality, with marble floors and vaulted wooden ceilings. All the rooms have powerful ceiling fans. Furnishings are simple. There is space for parking in the garden which is large, full of trees and flowers, and gated.
The accommodation is flexible. Couples on their own can use Bedroom 1, and/or Bedroom 4 which have ensuite bathrooms. Families may choose Bedrooms 2 & 3 and/or 5. Each of these pairs of bedrooms has its own bathroom and a separate entrance opening on to the central courtyard where people tend to meet together to talk and relax. There are four living areas; an indoor living room, central courtyard, the veranda, and around the pool.
The island's main supermarket is 20 minutes walk away on this side of Aegina port. There are several banks in the port and more than one cinema. There is a very pretty open air cinema a quarter of an hour's walk from the house. Also a very cheap internet cafe. The local taverna is excellent, just 5 minutes walk away at Faros, overlooking the sea. There is also a water park just minutes away which also serves meals. You can take boat trips from Aegina port and Perdika to the small islands nearby.
30% deposit required at the time of booking, and the balance 8 weeks before arrival. We would consider offering the house at a reduced rent to small parties during the low season.
