Very nice apartment courtyard and garden in luxury building on Grand Avenue, 4th floor (3 lifts) code and concierge.
Unobstructed view of Eiffel Tower from living and bedroom, very bright and sunny, facing south-east, a haven of peace and quiet in the heart of Paris.
Conveniently located 3 minutes walk from the Place du Trocadero and the shopping street of Passy, 5 minutes walk from the Eiffel Tower and Champ de Mars, 15 minutes walk from the Arc de Triomphe and Avenue Champs Elysees.
Near Public Transportation: Metro lines 6 and 9 (3 min subway stations and Passy Trocadero, bus lines 22 and 32 in front of the building), bus to tour the city and boats fly 3-5 min.
We really can't praise this apartment enough! The views, the location, the facilities...it was just what we were looking for and more!
We chose this apartment primarily for the view of the Eiffel Tower but the photo's on the website just don't do it justice. The tower is actually a lot closer in reality than it appears on photo's and you could see it not only from the lounge but from the main bedroom too (so you can lie in bed and watch the illuminations (the Tower is lit up at night but also 'sparkles' on the hour - quite magical!).
Tha apartment itself is nicely decorated with a very authentic french feel, which was just what we were looking for. The lounge is bright and airy with 2 big french windows to take in the view. Plenty of cupboard space, all the facilities you could need and our boys were very pleased with the TV and free Wifi! (though if you're scared of heights I'd avoid the top bunk in the second bedroom!)
The area itself is lovely - very chic and 'untouristy' despite being a stones throw from the Trocadero. Passy has lots of nice shops and cafes and there are 2 supermarkets and a couple of patisseries literally a few minutes walk away - handy for groceries and to nip out in the morning for a fresh baguette and croissants for breakfast!
Handy for both Passy and Trocadero Metro stations (both within a 5 min walk) which then connects you to all the sights in Paris but also the Trocadero is just down the road which means the Eiffel Tower itself is a very scenic 10-15 min walk away. We also walked to the Arc de Triomphe from the apartment - again a pleasant walk of about 20 mins. Ideally located.
Eija, the owner, was very pleasant to deal with, answering all our queries by e-mail before we arrived and then met us on our arrival at the apartment. She spoke perfect english so there was no problem with communication (which is good as we speak very little french!) and was very helpful. There was even a few basic supplies in the apartment (water, juice, etc and the chocolates and bottle of wine were much appreciated!) which was a nice touch.
We will definately rent this apartment again next time we go to Paris and would highly recommend it to anyone.
We loved this apartment. It was very spacious and clean. Eija and Charles where great to work with and made sure our stay was excellent. The view was spectacular and there are markets, bakeries, McDonald's and a metro station just down the street. Are stay here is something our family will never forget.
We are looking forward on returning to Paris and staying here again in 2015 and would gladly refer a friend our family member to stay here.
Pictures do not give the location justice. Very spacious and equipped with items like a coffee machine, iron, washer/dryer, etc. Very clean and "English" friendly including wireless internet and free calls to US.
Owners met us on time when arriving and departing. We lived in Paris for 3 years so felt comfortable with the communication in French but I would recommend this for anyone regardless of familiarity to Paris or the French language. Both owners we spoke with communicated perfect English.
The view is fantastic especially at night when you can see the tower light up on the top of every hour. Great location to the Trocaderro Metro and walking distance to many other sites.
We will be booking for 2013... thank you for your hospitality and making this rental a very good experience for my entire family.
What first drew us to this apartment was the breathtaking view and the fact that 5 people could be accommodated. The apartment was nicely decorated and very clean. If you are traveling with five adults, however, the apartment may be a little tight. Make sure you are a close family--we were more than fine!
The location of the apartment was a short walk to the Trocadero metro stop, which we used on a daily basis. Also, the grocery store was a couple of buildings away, as was the bakery, where we got daily croissants and coffee! The convenience of the location could not have been better.
Working with Eija was wonderful and she was very quick in answering questions and providing information to make our stay carefree! The apartment has all the amenities one would need, including power exchange outlets, for foreign appliances. We really didn't use the TV since the channels are limiting, but with the WIFI available we were fine. Who goes to Paris to watch TV anyway?
My family and I would definitely stay in this apartment again! We now have a lot of great memories of our trip--including reading in bed and watching the light show on the Eiffel Tower!
