The Hayloft is a gorgeous haven of tranquillity. It is set on a mountainous hillside, ten minutes from the delightful white village of Gaucin with its famous castle. The view from the balcony is superb - on a clear day you are able to see beyond the rock of Gibraltar to the North African mountains in Morocco. A double bedroom has windows opening out onto the same view, as does the sitting room and dining room. The kitchen is open plan and well equipped. You have use of the lovely pool and the coast is 40min away. In addition, Diana Paget, who has lived on the farm for many years, is a superb cook and will be hosting occasional supper parties that you will be welcome to join.

La Almuna is located as you climb the hills on the road to Ronda from Gibraltar. It is a simple journey from Malaga, Gibraltar, Jerez or Seville airports. The roads are very good - newly surfaced, easy to navigate with very little traffic. La Almuna is a beautiful mountain farm which Diana runs as a Bed and Breakfast and the Hayloft is a self contained apartment above the stables. The countryside is dramatic and rugged - Gaucin, your local village, is delightful and has everything that you would expect - banks, chemists, supermarkets and a lovely castle. Ronda with it's spectacular gorge and bull ring is well worth a visit as are the other surrounding white villages and, of course, the coast of Sotogrande. The coast also boasts a large number of spectacular golf courses. For a busier night-life, Marbella and Puerto Banus are all within driving distance. Morocco is also an easy day trip - high speed ferry from Tarifa.

Additional information about rental rates

  • The figure of 875 euros is for two people sharing the Hayloft. For four people we would ask 975 euros.
    We would ask that you pay twenty five percent of the overall rental as a deposit and the balance on your arrival. If you were to cancel within a month of arriving, you would forfeit your deposit. In addition, we would request 200 euros as a 'breakages deposit' when you arrive which would be returned on your departure.

Notes: There are two very friendly Staffordshire Bull Terriers that live in the main farmhouse and three horses that are occasionally in the stables under the Hayloft. The horses are available to ride depending on consultation with their owner Irme, who looks after them throughout the year and will accompany the rides.

Tennis Court: You are welcome to use the tennis court that is situated a few hundred metres from the Hayloft.
