May Villa comprises the entire property in the main photograph. There is just one property but it is listed twice to enable us to show two price lists showing our discounted rates for smaller groups out of high season. May Villa is situated just beside the old lifeboat station in Inner Hope Cove, an enviable position just 20 yds from the coast path, beach and slip way. With 5 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms it is a comfortable family holiday home and although it is spacious enough for 2 families it does not feel too large for couples or smaller groups for an out of season break. It has a bright interior with large double glazed windows and sea views from many of the rooms and we have many guests who return year after year. Hope Cove is an old fishing village nesting below Bolt Tail and surrounded by unspoilt National Trust land. There are 2 safe sand and stone beaches at Hope Cove which has a local post office and convenience store, pub, cafe and a number of small hotels.

This is not a separate unit. May Villa is just one property but it is shown twice so we can show you are discounted rates for smaller groups (see May Villa sleeps 6). The house has central heating throughout. The ground floor comprises a pleasant dining room, well equipped kitchen, a double bedroom (king size bed) , a bunk room, a small snug with sofa and additional TV (ideal for children to use as a day room) and a shower room with WC. Upstairs there is a triple room (double & single bed), a double bedroom (king size bed), a twin bedroom, a sitting room (with 2 sofas, TV, video, DVD) and a bathroom. There are sea views from the dining room, sitting room, both double bedrooms and the twin room. Outside there is a small rear garden, largely paved to give a large patio area with original stable walls on 2 sides which makes it very private and sheltered. There is a driveway with parking for 2 cars plus additional parking available on the street.

Hope Cove is a pretty fishing village in the South Hams area of South Devon, an area of outstanding natural beauty and surrounded by National Trust land. There are 2 main beaches both with sand and rock pools one of which allows dogs all year round the other being dog free May to September. There are many other local beaches to visit, many coastal walks, right from the doorstep, and other amenities nearby such as golf at Thurlestone and Bigbury. The village has a PO/general store 2 cafes (open in main season), a pub serving food and a few small hotels that are also open to the public. It is 5 miles from the market town of Kingsbridge for more shops restaurants and a leisure centre, 5 miles from the sailing centre of Salcombe for boat trips and boat hire, 25 miles from Plymouth, 48 miles from Exeter and 20 miles from the A38 Expressway.

Overall the property was in average condition - only one shower though which is not very user friendly when there are 5 bedrooms. 2 of the 5 bedrooms are downstairs which does impact on the living space if you are a group of people or more than one family with small children. The location is fantastic though - perfect for family beach holidays or for sightseeing, walking over the cliffs etc. Good pub down the road for food etc.
