LA CAPANNA

We stayed in La Capanna for a week and thoroughly enjoyed every minute. The property was well equipped , clean and ideal for exploring Florence, Sienna and Chianti area.

We travelled down to Reggello through France in our own car. It would be difficult, if not impossible, to explore without your own transport.

Florence (Firenze) was wonderful - our favourite place. A trip to Fiesole gave us stunning views over the city as well as being of great interest in itself.

We ate wonderful ice-cream in most of the places we visited. The quality of the ice-cream in San Gimignano was the best, but that in Reggello was a close second.

We've had a wonderful week and would stay in La Capanna again if we revisit the area.

I must say that we had the most wonderful time at ‘La Capanna’, so relaxing and quiet – exactly what we expected. We slotted straight into local life – early morning walk to the fruit and veg. shop in Cascia, buy some great produce, back to the villa, lunch outdoors, glass of wine, read a book in the sunshine, cook dinner, more wine and relax listening to music - BLISS. Thanks very much for the opportunity of sharing your holiday home, making a great holiday for my wife and I. We will certainly consider a return visit in the not too distant future.

La Capanna has everything a person could hope for if you are looking for a cottage in the Tuscan countryside. It has all the amenities you need and its location in the tiny hamlet of Tallini is perfect.
The owners provided excellent service both by e mail and an excellent instruction booklet kept on the kitchen table in the cottage. They also provided suggestions for various places to visit and recommendations for shops and restaurants. This was very valuable as we were visiting Italy for the first time.
The cottage and garden was very clean and well maintained.I would highly recommend La Capanna or the adjacent apartments to friends and relatives.
We were at La Capanna from 04 Oct to 18 Oct/2010 and wished we could have stayed much longer. We used Italy's great train service to visit the larger cities and our rental car to go to as many of the smaller places recommended by Gwyn as we could.
We enjoyed everything we did in Italy but the small towns near our cottage,Casia and Reggello, along with the surrounding countryside would have been more than enough to make the trip wothwhile. We spent a good deal of our time in these two towns and in the hills above the cottage.
La Capanna is a dream cottage in an ideal location. We appreciate the owners trusting it to our care for a short time.
