Located above vineyards in Sonoma County's world-renowned wine grape growing Dry Creek Valley, this is a 948 sq ft studio apartment over our 3-car garage. Perfect for a romantic weekend in Sonoma County Wine Country, there are many wineries within 10-minute driving time. World class restaurants are located in Geyserville and Healdsburg.

This studio was completed in January 2005 with forced air heating and air conditioning for year-round comfort, plus ceiling fans over the King-size bed and the leather entertainment seating in the Great Room. An electric fireplace provides ambience and/or warmth.

Surround sound enhances your experience of the 54' satellite HDTV and/or one of the many dvd's available. A 200 sq ft balcony/tile deck is accessible via sliding glass doors from both the bedroom and great room. All windows are dual pane. There is privacy from the home behind this unit. Wireless high-speed internet access is available.

The bathroom features tile surrounding a 6' soaking tub (with showerhead over it). There is a private entrance and space to park on the side. Property is located 8 miles north of Healdsburg and 3 miles south of Lake Sonoma, where you can enjoy boating and fishing; driving time is approximately 1 hr, 30 min North of San Francisco or Oakland.

What makes this apartment unique

We love the quiet of the Dry Creek Valley. It is an area of working vineyards, so there can be tractors early in the morning, but with dual pane windows and thick insulation, we usually don't hear them. The serene beauty of the valley is totally relaxing, and the sunsets are gorgeous.

Perfect place to stay while enjoying the Dry Creek Valley

We just stayed here for the Dry Creek Valley passport weekend and were so happy that we chose this listing. It's even nicer than the photos/description make it look/sound, the hosts are responsive and helpful, and it's perfectly located for exploring the Dry Creek Valley wine region.

The views from the unit alone are worth a stay - we cancelled our dinner reservations on Saturday and opted to dine on the private balcony overlooking the vineyards instead. The nearby Dry Creek General Store has sandwiches, meats, cheeses and all sorts of prepared food that make dinner on the balcony easy and delicious.

The hosts have also stocked the extras that make a stay even more pleasant - bottled water, a bottle of wine already chilled in the fridge, and a great selection of movies for the home theater system.

This stay exceeded my expectations and I hope to stay here again in the future. Thanks!

We stayed here to celebrate my 62nd birthday. It was a great location to take day trips to Bodega Bay, Anderson Valley, Alexander Valley, Santa Rosa, and Healdsburg. The apartment was quiet and luxurious with a great A/V systems for watching movies. Though only a kitchenette (no stove), it was well-stocked and we brought back chowder from Bodega Bay to microwave and prepared food from Big John's in Healdsburg (similar to Whole Foods). We'd stay there again. The view of the vineyards was wonderful on this quiet side of Dry Creek Valley.

What a quiet, charming and clean property! We had a great time--spending two nights in the Dry Creek Valley. Janice greeted us with two bottles of wine to help us start our Valentine's Getaway off on the right foot. The furnishings were very comfortable and we really enjoyed ourselves. The location was out of the way, but still very convenient to everything. We enjoyed local restaurants, a hike at Lake Sonoma, the steelhead trout spawning at the fish hachery, and of course, many wonderful winery tastings. We will return. Thanks so much!

Dry Creek Valley retreat

Enjoyed our stay at this property very much. Clean, quiet, great view. Loved the deck overlooking the vineyards, just as depicted. The video/sound system is exceptional, but we really didn;t take much time to use it. This property almost feels remote, but porbably only 5 minutes to Geyserville and 15 minutes to Healdsburg. We never saw the owners but certainly appreciate their hospitality.
Recommended for:  Sightseeing, Romantic Getaway

Gorgeous vineyard studio

Visited this beautiful Healdsburg studio for 2 nights on our 10 year wedding anniversary. I was pleased that the space was exactly as depicted in the photos which made me immediately comfortable. It was very clean, well maintained, and had all the necessary amenities. The vineyard views from the living space balcony, and bedroom are spectacular. Just a short <20 minute drive to dining destinations, and shopping in Healdsburg, and Geyserville. We are looking forward to a return stay.
