Villa Rosa is just 1km from the typically Catalan village of Santa Cristina, only a 10 minute drive to the beach and close to the beautiful Les Gavarres Nature Reserve. Villa Rosa is a wonderful holiday retreat. The theme is rustic but stylish with wrought iron beds, dark oak Catalonian furniture, colonial ceiling fans and high wooden beamed ceilings. It’s also vast with a private pool side annex and double garage. There is parking, within the grounds, for up to 10 cars. There are 3 lawn areas, upper, lower and rear (French Bowls). The villa buildings have 3 undercover terraces and 2 built-in BBQ’s, there is sufficient garden furniture for 10 persons. There are 10 sunloungers, a large outside table to seat 8 and a smaller outside table to seat 4 together with a large stylish parasol. There is table tennis in the double garage. There is a high tech saline, pH regulated 9x4m pool which incorporates the latest technology for water purification.Full HD TV, Blu Ray,Satellite & IPOD player.

  • Prices are for the property per week in UK pounds. Payment can also be made in Euros by using the prevailing exchange rate at the time of booking.
  • The changeover day is Saturday, arrive after 4pm and depart before 10am. By arrangement it may be possible to arrive before 4pm this will depend upon the cleaners etc.
  • Non-refundable booking deposit of 30% with balance due 10 weeks prior to departure. However if the cancelled period is resold at the same price then the deposit can be returned. Refundable damage deposit of Euro 300 payable on arrival and returned on departure.

Beaches: There will be plenty of things to do on the Costa Brava. There are many sandy beaches and rocky bays for swimmers and all kinds of water sports. The nearest beaches are 10 mins driving, these are at San Feliu De Guixols and S'Agaro.

Activities: Tennis, walking and cycling: There is a tennis club in Santa Cristina, the area is excellent for walking with lots of great views. There are also a lot of cycle paths for mountain biking and the terrain varies from smooth tracks to good quality off road.

Other Things To Do: There will be plenty of things to do on the Costa Brava. You have full use of your private pool at the villa, but there are also many sandy beaches and rocky bays for swimmers and all kinds of water sports. The countryside is ideal for walkers. This area is a golfers paradise, with championship courses and several 18 hole and 9 hole courses to test the best players. Facilities for tennis are available in Santa Cristina. There is also a horse riding centre and Sports Centre within 5 minutes drive. There are three water parks within the region, Aqua Diver (10 Min Drive), Marineland (which has dolphins and other animals) and Waterworld which grows bigger every year. Tennis/Walking/Cycling: There is a tennis club in Santa Cristina, the area is excellent for walking with lots of great views. There are also a lot of cycle paths for mountain biking and the terrain varies from smooth tracks to good quality off road.

Accomadation was of great quality with all equipment you could possible need.
Was cleaned and maintained to a high standard.
I would recommend this property to anyone wanting a quiet holiday with beautifull surrounds but wanting to be a short distance from towns.
We were there very early on in the season so local activities and restaurants were closed but 10 min drive will take you to a large town with shopping and food for all.
Found the owner and his manager more than accomadating..
We will stay in this property again,

Our cleaners do clean to a high standard and the property is always maintained very well. The gardens are also kept to a high standard. The pool is regularly maintained and just recently we have invested in the latest technology to ensure the best possible water purification. We receive many comments about our property manager who is friendly and helpful.

Villa Rosa - August 2008

What a great place for a holiday! Our choice of Villa Rosa suited our group perfectly. We were two families with five children between the ages of 2 and 11, and one adult friend. We found the villa to be clean and tidy, well furnished and with all the equipment and appliances easy to use. With a high wall and fence running around the property we never felt worried about the letting the kids run loose in the garden. The swimming pool was a big hit with the kids and the venue of a variety of games and relay races.

As we found the villa such a relaxing place we did not venture out often although we did have trips to a couple of resorts on the coast. A couple of evenings we tried some of the local restaurants and were very impressed (and very full!). Even our own barbecues were impressive!

Guests at Villa Rosa also can rely on Trevor, an Englishman who has lived in the area for many years, who looks after a number of rental properties. As we arrived he was supervising the installation of a new dishwasher and later in the week he helped us with another minor problem. His service was top class and any future guests can rest assured that their holiday will not be disturbed by the need to sort out any villa related problems.

You do need a car as Villa Rosa is not in walking distance of any shops, restaurants or beaches, although all of these are within 15 minutes drive.

We've booked again for 2009! I guess that says it all!

This is a brilliant place for family holidays. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and will definitely be back! Easy to book and a really nice owner.

The gardens and the swimming pool are lovely, inside is well decorated and nicely furnished with pretty much everything you could wish for There is plenty to do in the surrounding area -don't forget to visit the Aqua Diver water park in Platja d'Aro which the kids really loved.!

‘There's a large table for dining, that's only when we fancied eating in doors - the tanning fiends basked by the private pool while others barbecued on the undercover terrace and the sun shy reveled in long breakfasts on the shaded veranda’.

‘One cool afternoon we visited Barcelona and sipped cool drinks and coffee on La Rambla, a bustling avenue full of vivid colours, then we took in the sights and the wonderful Gothic architecture of this marvelous Mediterranean city’.

‘The nicest part is returning to the Villa. Having to keep away from a B&B all day when you are travel - weary is no fun and hotel's just don't make financial sense for large families - a Villa preferably one as beautiful and enormous as Villa Rosa is the perfect solution’.
