Calonge, a medieval village about 2 km from the sea between Palamos and St Feliu de Guixols, in the north east area of Spain, has wonderful beaches, picturesque wooded rocky coves and snow covered Pyrenees within easy reach. . Daily markets are held at all local towns with excellent shops in Playa d’Aro and Palamos.
Palamos a local administrative centre with a medieval centre and a working harbour about 5 miles from Calonge. Vizcondado de Cabanyes, a private urbanisation outside Calonge, just over an hour from Barcelona and 30 km from Girona on excellent roads linking with the A7 Motorway north to France. The station at Caldes de Malavella, some 20km distant, provides a fast train service to Barcelona city and airport or north to Perpignan. Set amongst cork oaks and established houses in the Gavarres foothills, the house is only 5 minutes from sandy beaches and rocky coves of St Antoni de Calonge
