There is a dining area which seats four. The pretty, separate kitchen is petite but fully equipped with dishwasher and washing machine, cooker and microwave. The bathroom has bath with shower and a separate large walk in shower. The terrace which faces west has a wrought iron table and chairs and a wrought iron bench. The wonderful enclosed garden, which is exclusive to the apartment, has 2 wrought iron tables and chairs, sun loungers and an antique gazebo and BBQ. The garden is great for outdoor dining. Parasols and garden cushions are available.

DEAUVILLE BEACH. From Villa Caprice it is one minute's walk to Deauville beach and its famous boardwalk Les Planches, classic colourful umbrellas and cafes and restaurants, A great atmosphere.
This is a terrific beach. Head for the Bar du Soleil where you can have a coffee, a drink or a fabulous lunch.Here you can also hire sunbeds and parasols for the day or week and a cabin. You can be served lunch as you relax on the beach. Try Ciro's restaurant if you really feel like spoiling yourself. Or the 3 Mages further down the beach towards Bennerville.
NORMANDY and ROYAL HOTELS are a couple of minutes walk from Villa Caprice. These are 2 very smart hotels with great restaurants. The Normandy Hotel has a small intimate bar which is well worth a visit.
Deauville CASINO has a very good restaurant. Do not forget to take your passport as ID for entrance to the Casino and gaming areas.
From Villa caprice it is a 2 to 3 minute walk to all restaurants, cafes, bars, shops, the Place Morny and Deauville market.There are several designer shops around the Casino: Chanel, Hermes, Louis Vuitton etc.
Thalasso Health spa, tennis and Olympic swimming pool are a 3 minute walk.
RACING.
Deauville is reknowned for its top horseracing, both flat and jumping. There are 2 race tracks in Deauville. La Touques and Clairfontaine. There are race meetings throughout the year but in July and August at Deauville La Touques racecourse you will find the best International Group 1 racing in France and international polo events.
You really will see the who's who of the racing world.
There are various race horse and trotting trainers in and around Deauville. Every morning you will see race horses trotters and polo ponies, in July and August, training along Deauville beach. Really worth getting up early to see.
FILM FESTIVALS
The stars come to town for the American Film Festival every year in September. In 2012 the festival runs from 31st August to the 9th September.
The Asian Film Festival is held in 2012 from the 7th to the 11th March.
BRIDGE. The International Bridge Tournament is held this year in June. Deauville was always a favourite of Omar Sharif, a keen bridge player.
GOLF. There are 3, 27 hole golf courses around Deauville. The Golf Barriere de Deauville, Golf de Deauville Saint-Gatien and the Amiraute Golf Club. All have full facilities.
The Paris - Deauville vintage car rally is held every year in October.
TROUVILLE, is a 10 minute walk, or you can take the tiny ferry (Bac) across the River Touques for 1 euro. Here you will find a good sandy beach and a great variety of cafes, restaurants,bars, brocantes and art shops. There is a daily fish market , if you get there early enough you can watch the fishing boats arrive with their catches, and a Sunday brocante. Le Central and Les Vapeurs are the two famous traditional old style French Brasseries specialising in fish dishes and Fruits de Mer. The lanes behind have a variety of restaurants, cafes, bars and shops. The Casino has a very good restaurant. Again do not forget to take your passport , as ID, for entry.
HONFLEUR, a charming 16th century port, with it's collection of slate roofed bars, restaurants and houses crowded around the little port is famed as the birth place of impressionism & a 15 minute drive along the pretty coastal road.
CAEN is 40 minutes drive and the Landing Beaches are within an hour's drive.
