Never ending winter enjoyments for every skiing temperament
Downhill and cross country skiers coming to the Gastein Valley winter sport region find complete satisfaction. 5 ski areas up to an altitude of 2700 m with about 200 km of maintained slopes make the heart of every ski amateur flutter.
You can choose from the ski areas Stubnerkogel-Angertal-Schlossalm and Dorfgastein-Großarl, the world championship's Graukogel and the high alpine Sportgastein. The optimal altitude and extensive snow making equipment guarantee the snow from the end of November to the end of April.
With 90 km of excellently maintained trails, Gastein is also a paradise for cross country skiing. The floodlit trail in Bad Gastein offers to the devotees of this 'gentle skiing' an experience of a very particular type.
To round off your marvellous skiing day, you can take the chair lift or go on foot up to the Bellevue Alm and, after an excellent evening in the lodge, use a bobsleigh to get back to the Bellevue.
