My husband and I could write a book of great things about the Tarzan house and the family that owns it. We were greeted with loving arms and have experienced nothing but since. Our jaws dropped when we saw the originality of the bungalow, it is even better than the pictures! a cozy sleeping area with more than enough room and a separate little bungalow with the kitchen and washroom. The shower and sink you will have to see with your own eyes, wow. We watch the waves crash on the reef in the lagoon from the bed and our wonderful private patio.If you have had enough of the beach, which is great for snorkeling,there is a refreshing jacuzzi on the patio aswell.A few minute enjoyable walk down the beach there is a white sandy beach great for swimming and lounging without rocks.We like that our beach is pebbly because everyone goes to the sandy spot. Although the Tarzan house is wonderful the family is even better. they have introduced us to tahitian food and drink aswell as many cultural tips. Laurence has recently helped us rent a car(3km away: much cheaper than the city) and even helped plan our flights to the tuamotu islands ( we joke she is a travel agent aswell) During our time on other islands we stayed in bungalows that were more expensive and didnt even compare to our time in the tarzan house. we couldnt wait to get back to our Tarzan home. If a uniquely crafted natural bungalow doesnt suit your needs we have also seen and suggest their very lovely gecko house. large house and bed with a private balcony in the same gorgeous garden.
If you want a truely tahitian experience or just a quiet relaxing place to enjoy the surroundings the tarzan house has it. With the sounds of the ocean and sweet smell of the beautiful garden you will not be dissapointed. Best valued bungalow we have found in the french polynesia; but you can not put a price on the help and information the family has provided. We will be forever grateful to Laurence and Nicolas for making our time in Tahiti the best it can be. We will miss this place, 1 month seems too short. When we venture to the south pacific from canada, we will have to stay here again. No Hotel chain can even compare.

Internet,TV,kayaks,bikes,bbq will keep you well entertained. Many food trucks pop open along the roads at night, which are only a short bike ride away.
