Twin Palms is a fabulous two bedroom apartment, located at the well loved, prestigious resort of Glitter Bay on the west coast of Barbados. This apartment has just been refurbished elegantly to a very high standard, and is fully equipped with everything that one would expect of a high end, privately owned property. The comfortable accommodation sleeps up to five guests and overlooks the resort swimming pool and a lush oasis of coconut palms and tropical gardens. From the terrace, it has panoramic views over the Caribbean Sea. One of the best stretches of sandy beach on the island is a thirty second walk from the apartment through the lovely gardens. The beach comes complete with comfortable sun loungers, umbrellas, fresh towels daily, a beach bar, and beach & pool staff to help make your stay all the more relaxing. Glitter Bay resort offers many of the facilities of a top ocean front development with acres of lush gardens, a large swimming pool, tennis courts, gym, concierge, friendly staff and 24 hour security. The apartment is very well maintained and comes with its own housekeeper and property manager, meaning it has a high standard of cleanliness, and is properly managed. It offers everything you could desire in a beachside hideaway and is perfect for a honeymoon, romantic getaway or a family holiday. There is a children's swimming pool, and playground, as well as plenty of space for children to enjoy the freedom of a summer holiday. Completely Amazing!!!

I have to say that Twin Palm's is a little gem. We have stayed at many private rentals and their was something that was just special about this one. It felt so homey. From start to finish everything went just perfect. Anoushka, the manager reassured me with my first experience of wiring money. She also was so amazing, in that, when we arrived we had an English coffee pot. I had no idea what to do with this kind of coffee maker. Much to our delight, she went right out an purchased us a Cuisinart coffee maker. Now that is service! I was so happy to have my morning coffee. Chantel the cleaning lady would do anything you wanted her to do for you. We had left a bag at the airport and she summoned the driver right away to see if he could pick it up for us.The location of the unit is just beautiful. Every morning we woke up to the sunshine and beautifully manicured gardens. The veranda was so roomy and had beautiful comfortable furniture to relax on. It was just so private being on the top floor. We loved the fact that we could make free local calls right from the room. We were so amazed that we were able to watch our MN Wild hockey team right on the TV in Barbados. The staff at the restaurant were very kind and helpful. It is on a beautiful beach and the pool area is also very nice. They have a small beach bar right at the complex and everything we had was delicious. We were centrally located, close to Holetown. The busing system their is so efficient and it cost one dollar to ride the bus no matter how long your trip was. What can you get for one dollar, nowadays?? The local people are some of the nicest people we have ever met in any of our travels. We have never made so many friends.To have a man get up so a lady can sit down on the bus is something we never see any more. We also felt extremely safe in our unit as well as everywhere we went. Barbados is so beautiful and Twin Palms is perfect. We will definitely be back!!

Beautiful apartment

We recently stayed at Twin Palms and had the most superb stay. The apartment had everything you could wish for and was looked after by the delightful Chauntel. We had a lovely view of the pool as well as the stunning Carribean and could sit and watch the sun set whilst having a drink. It was a lovely spacious apartment and the kids throughly enjoyed having their own separate room together. Everything was always spotless and we were even lucky enough to have all our washing done for us. Nothing seemed to be too much trouble and we were looked after continuously. If you don't always fancy cooking for yourselves there are many restaurants within easy access so you can get the best of both. I would not hesitate to come back our holiday was fantastic.

The best apartment we've stayed in at Glitter Bay!

There are a number of apartments at Glitter Bay as can be seen on the various websites. They vary from 1, 2 and 3 bedroom. They are all broadly similar from the outside but Twin Palms is in another league which is evident the minute you walk through the door.

We have stayed at Glitter Bay numerous times over the last 12 years, but this was the first time we stayed at Twin Palms (our usual villa was booked up). As per the photos', this apartment has been completely refurbished to the highest standards and is perfect in every way. Brand new top of the range kitchen appliances, immaculate interior decor, faultless bathrooms and fresh linens every day to name just a few areas where Twin Palms beats its rivals.

All communication with the villa owners was prompt and professional and the housemaid is one of the best we have met. She washed and ironed all our laundry on a daily basis and kept the apartment shipshape throughout our stay.

Glitter Bay is ideally situated only 5 mins from Holetown which has a big supermarket providing all our groceries. The west Coast has numerous excellent restaurants and and the Lonestar restaurant is only a 5 min stroll up the beach from the apartment for lunch or dinner.

This is the first time we have stayed at Glitter Bay with an infant, and Twin Palms suited us ideally as we visited with 2 couples staying in the two spacious bedrooms. The owners had made up the second bedroom with a king size bed for us and a single bed for our daughter so I can highly recommend this apartment for anyone visiting Barbados with family. The apartment easily accommodates 5 people and the swimming pool area is perfect for adults and little ones with the baby pool providing daily entertainment for our 3 year old!

Overall, we will definitely be staying at Twin Palms again so I will stop banging on about how great it is now, for fear of it being booked up by the time we next want to visit!!

Twin Palms is the Best

Barbados is our favourite Caribean destination, 20 or so visits. We have stayed at many locations, but the last 5 years, we have stayed at Glitter Bay. The location is superb, close to Holetown shops, grocer and restaurants, one of the best beaches on the island, great pool, bar and restaurant, peace and quiet, great staff. Apartments are privately owned and, as such, do vary in finishings. Twin Palms is the best 2 bedroom we have stayed in. Airy and bright - love the white tile floors. Comfortable furnishings in bedrooms, living room, as well as on the large outdoor terrace. Views of the sea and garden are great. At night, the pool is lit, so even nice night view. The kitchen is well equipped. Chauntel is superior housekeeper, totally on top of keeping the apartment tidy and clean and ensuring our stay was carefree. We hope to stay at Twin Palms again and would highly recommend it.

Perfect place in the perfect location...

We stayed at Twin Palms for a pre-Christmas break in mid December. It was the first time we have stayed here and I have to say we can't wait to go back!

The location was simply perfect. The apartment is literally on the seafront and just a moments walk along the quiet romantic beach to some superb restaurants for fabulous candle-lit dinners. We wondered back along the beach one night and even saw baby turtles venturing to the sea, amazing!

The apartment itself was superbly appointed with a super large terrace and its top floor/penthouse location has fabulous views of the sea and beautifully landscaped gardens. There is a private swimming pool, restaurant, and bar as well as daily maid service. All the rooms are bright and spacious with a cool modern-Caribbean feel. There are also plenty of activities on your doorstep including Jet-skiing, water-skiing, paddle-boarding, and boating etc.. I would highly recommend staying here.

Paradise in paradise!

Wow! What a place! After an amazing week allowing us to relax, absorb and rejuvenate, we simply couldn't bear to leave....so extended our stay!!!

A paradise within paradise, this place genuinely has it all and could effortlessly cater for couples, young families or those with teens:

- Beautiful, elegant apartment decorated to the highest standards but in an informal, relaxing and comfortable style

- Immaculately maintained by friendly and trustworthy maid (also available for babysitting)

- Picture-perfect setting with sea view

- Tranquil resort with impressive facilities: dual pools, bar/restaurant, beach, tennis court, gym, grounds, water sports

- Ideally situated on the western side of the island

Our stay was all we'd hoped for and more and we couldn't recommend it highly enough. Do stay here - you will not be disappointed.

Twin Palms is located just a few minutes from Holetown on the breathtaking West Coast in St James where you can relax on a gorgeous stretch of white sandy beach overlooking the turquoise water of the Caribbean. Beach towels, sun loungers with mattresses and parasols are all available free of charge each morning on the beach or by the pool. You can enjoy every type of water sport, water skiing, sailing, diving and paragliding. The snorkelling all along the beach is excellent and you may even see a turtle! Windsurfing is available on the south coast side of the island. Game fishing and boats for hire can all be arranged. Close by are a variety of world class restaurants, golf, polo and numerous other attractions. Within ten minutes you can be up in the hills away from the manicured lawns and landscaped gardens. There, among the quaintly painted matchbox houses there is a different world of cane fields, rum bars, tiny villages and magnificent views.

There is direct access onto the sumptuous terrace overlooking the manicured gardens, pool and white powdered sandy beach. The guest bedroom also has a king-size bed which converts to twin beds. The kitchen benefits from modern appliances including dishwasher, microwave, oven, hob and fridge freezer. There is also laundry area with washer/dryer. The large terrace is divided into two living areas and overlooks the sea, beach and gardens. It consists of a dining area seating 6 and a more relaxed area with comfortable seating. The living area opens onto the terrace. There is a large television with DVD and surround sound system. It has two sofas, air-conditioning plus ceiling fans and drapes. Panoramic glass doors slide back fully onto the large terrace dining area. Housekeeping: A housekeeper comes 3 hours per day, 6 days per week. The housekeeper's responsibilities are mainly focused on cleaning the apartment, with some laundry. She is available to do additional work for you such as cooking or babysitting, but the guest must settle with her directly. Please note the housekeeper DOES NOT work on BANK HOLIDAYS.
