The private solar-heated swimming pool (6/10M) is situated on the side of the hill above the house with 180 degree views over the surrounding countryside. New Tennis court built in June '07 with astro-turf - Play tennis enjoying the most stunning views. 2 Double bedrooms, 3 Twin bedded rooms. 4 bathrooms.The cities of Siena and Florence are within easy access by car. (Siena 30 minutes/ Florence 50 minutes). Castellina is a most charming village steeped in history with excellent local shops.

Notes: One of the five bedrooms is located in the barn conversion, which has a sitting area and bathroom with shower. The barn has no heating and is therefore only used between June and September. It is ideal for teenagers! There are three living rooms. One for quiet time with stunning views, one for Family entertainment including Sky TV, Video, CD and snooker and one for daily living! The property is unsuitable for the elderly, infirm or very young children with quite a steep winding staircase to the first floor.

Villa Masseto: The Villa is owned by an English Family who are regular visitors. The villa was totally redecorated and re-furnished in the early part of 2002. The local staff are truly superb taking excellent care of the guests , the house, pool and gardens. The villa boasts a 3/4 size snooker table and large sitting room for family entertainment, being equipped with satellite TV, Video and CD player.

A week in Tuscany

A beautiful, well appointed villa in a stunning location. A wide range of facilities, excellent and discreet maid service and a location well placed to visit and enjoy the many tourist 'honeypots' of Tuscany and the Chianti region. Chill by the swimming pool, enjoy a glass of wine overlooking a magical tuscan panorama or visit a number of excellent local restaurants. A super holiday break - we will return!!

Great Tuscan villa holiday

We had a fabulous time at Villa Masseto. The tennis court with spectacular views was a real surprise, while the crystal blue swimming pool was just the perfect place for relaxing after a busy day sightseeing in nearby Sienna.

The Villa itself was very spacious and beautifully decorated in traditional tuscan style. It was really clean and well kept by the housekeeper and gardener.

The Villa is perfect for families and our kids enjoyed the snooker table, while we enjoyed dining alfresco with a glass of prosecco on the terrace looking across the Tuscan hills. A prefect holiday!

Masseto really is just as it appears on the website/brochure.
Castellina is a lovely town for shopping, eating out and just wandering around and about 5 minutes drive away. Also perfectly positioned for touring around Tuscany.
Views from the villa are fantastic. Lazing by the pool followed by drinks on the terrace as the sun goes down - it doesn't get much better! We visited with 3 generations of our family - there was plenty of space for everyone and it suited everybody's different interests perfectly.
Staff delightful and very helpful.
We can't recommend this villa too highly!

Beautiful property, perfect location

There is nothing to write about Masseto other than to say it was a perfect holiday home, so much so that we've already booked again for next year.

The setting, the property and the facilities were all first class and provided the perfect base for a wonderful holiday.

Outstanding in every respect.
