TRANSPORT:
There is a bus station in town with a direct service to Girona & Barcelona. There are also buses that service many of the towns close by and it is a great way to see some of these places. In summer, there is a regular ferry service which operates from Sant Feliu and goes to Tossa de Mar & Lloret de Mar, two very pretty towns worth visiting. The view of the coastline if you are travelling by boat is truly spectactular. Sant Feliu is about 30 minutes from Girona airport & 75 minutes from Barcelona airport. The nearest train station is at Caldes de Malavella about 20 minutes from Sant Feliu. Of course, if you really want to explore the area, a car is the best way to do so. There is a local car hire company in Sant Feliu and we can make car rental arrangements for you.
CLOSE BY:
Close by are other great beaches such as S'Agaro, La Conc and Rosamar. S'Agaro is great for water sports & in summer you can hire a boat to explore the coast. Also close is Playa D'Aro, a chic town with lots of boutiques, restaurants, bars as well as a beach with water sports. The beautiful & historic city of Girona is only 35 kms from Sant Feliu and the cathedral and the old quarters shouldn't be missed.
Fiqueres is less than 1 hour away and the famous Salvador Dali Museum should be on everyone's itinerary.
There are too many attractions in Barcelona to list here, however a walk on the famous Rambla, the famous Sagrada Familia cathedral, the architecture of Guadi & the Gothic quarter are a must as is the shopping & sipping a sangria with some tapas at one of the many cafes and bars as you watch the world go by.
If you are a golfer, there are 2 courses within 5 kms, Club Golf Costa Brava in Santa Christina & Club Golf D'Aro, both spectactular golf courses.
