This is a lovely, fully equipped house set in a peaceful residential area, located near the sea and mountains, away from the large touristic centre, in a natural environment, with a front and back garden. This is an ideal holiday location for those who admire nature, sea lovers, for walkers, golf lovers - 8 min from the nearest golf course, swimmers -beach just 7 min away, 8 min from the local airport, only 7 min from the motorway and all that Madeira has to offer. The house offers spacious accommodation and is furnished to a contemporary standard. The 1st floor holds 3 bedrooms fully furnished and accommodates 6 people. There are 2 bathrooms. The master bedroom has an en-suite bathroom and a balcony. A cot and highchair can be provided on request. The ground floor has a spacious open plan living area and adjoining dining area. Next to the fully equipped kitchen, we have a pleasant Summer room with wickerwork furniture ideal for relaxation. There is also an utility room and guest WC.

The house sits 7 minutes away from the charming seafront town of Santa Cruz with its traditional Church built during the “Manuelino” period and Town Hall with its primitive 16th Century construction. The court house built in a colonial style is one of the town’s landmarks. Near the sea front, there is the covered fish, meat and vegetable market, supermarket, restaurants, bars, post office, banks and cash machines, medical centre and promenade. A pleasant walk along the promenade leads to the only Water Park of the island. To the North, we have the well known Santo da Serra Golf course and 15 Minutes to the west, we have Camacha, worldwide known for its wickerwork. The genuine folklore singing, dancing and music can also be seen here. Further inland, one can explore the Levadas or irrigation channels which cover the whole island. Funchal, the cosmopolitan capital of Madeira, is approximately 15 minutes from Santa Cruz.

Additional information about rental rates

  • With all long term renters, weekly cleaning with changing of bed linen and towels and house cleaning is provided. Additional nights are subject to availability on request, and change over day is flexible. A 30% deposit must be paid to secure the booking and is non refundable after 5 weeks prior to arrival. The balance is paid in Cash on arrival. In addition we charge a refundable deposit of €150 to cover breakables or damage. As soon as clearance has been given, on your departure day, the deposit will be returned. This is paid also on arrival. Booking Payment can be made in Euros or in Sterling by bank transfer.
  • ARRIVAL ARRANGEMENTS -
    As part of the package there will be a welcome pack of breakfast provisions. On arrival, if a car was rented, you will be met at the airport and there will be a follow me procedure. If not, you will be met by our friendly and helpful taxi driver Ernesto, who speaks good English. He will take you to the house, help you with your luggage, provide keys and familiarise you with the facilities. Payment for this trip is to be paid directly to the taxi driver. Ernesto is also available to take you on full or half day trips anywhere around the island. You will find a folder with valuable information to make your stay memorable.
    We hope your stay will be a pleasant one and we are readily available should you have any difficulties.

In Santa Cruz there is a Wi-Fi zone at the seafront, in front of the Town Hall and at the airport. Today, Madeira is well served with motorways that will take you quickly anywhere on the island. We had an absolutely glorious holiday. Your house is superb, everything had been thought of for our comfort and pleasure. The beds were very comfortable, and the sun room was a super place to relax after an evening out. We cannot praise your holiday home highly enough! Nor can we fault your brilliant hospitality, and kindness.

Madeira is everything we hoped it would be, a wonderful Island with super people. We were sad to leave.

We've done selfcatering for 8 years now. We stayed for two weeks. Had everything we needed, with house cleaning in the middle of our stay. The hosts are great and extremely helpful. A real bargain and highly recommend it.

The house had every thing you could ask for in a holiday villa. The owners were great, they even provided the kids with dvds, games and colouring books. The garden was secure for the kids to play in and the area quiet at night.
