An eco-friendly Villa with stunning views, privacy & peace are on offer at our rural Spanish Villa next to a nature reserve.Villa Alarosa is a rustic Spanish Villa detached & in 5 acres of land, situated in a mountain retreat where the nearest town is Bunol. A large swimming pool with views over Valencia and out to sea. The spacious living space includes a large open plan living-kitchen room. Out side the terrace offers outdoor dining and BBQ, perfect for alfresco dining. the terrace over looks a large garden which feature a private swimming pool and spectacular views.There are 2 double bedrooms, 1 twin bedroom,1 bedroom with bunk beds plus single bed & one bathroom, extra toilet and shower at the pool. Linen & towels are provided. There is a large parking area, the Villa is solar powered. Economic use of water is essential. Drinking water is collected from the mountain. Fishing, cyclists & bird watchers paradise. Rock climbing is walking distance away. El Bosque Golf Course 10 miles

Villa Alarosa is located on the outskirts of Valencia, the nearest town is Bunol 3km away so a car would be essential. Where locally grown fresh produce can be purchased. Bunol is famous for the annual tomato throwing festival (La Tomatina). The train can be taken from Bunol to Valencia & takes approx. 40 mins alternatively you can drive, approx 45mins. The city is very vibrant with lovely architecture as well as beaches & has host the Americas Cup in 2007. Bonaire shopping complex with over 1000 shops, restaurants, bowling alley & cinemas is only 20mins away. El Bosque Golf Course ranked 5th in Spain is only 20mins away. Al Saler beach which is situated within a Nature Reserve area is approx. 40mins away. Valencia Airport is approx. 25mins away.Valencia MotoGP 15mins away+Grand Prix. There are some spectacular mountain routes, wine routes & beaches to explore. Children will love the freedom of the area round the villa, and the friendly locals in the town of Bunol. Good parks local.

Surrounding area amenities: Bonaire shopping complex with over 1000 shops, restaurants, bowling alley & cinemas is only 20mins away. El Bosque Golf Course ranked 5th in Spain is only 25mins away. Al Saler beach which is situated within a Nature Reserve area is approx. 40mins away. Cheste Racetrack is approx 20mins away, holding the Motogp 2009. There are some spectacular mountain routes, wine routes and beaches to explore. The Villa is ideal for walkers, cyclists, bird watching and mountain adventure sports. There is also a local rock climbing club within walking distance of the villa; also available is off road motor cross. Local fiesta's are over the following dates:La Tomatina-last wed in August. Moto GP Valencia 1st week in November at Cheste Racetrack. The Valencia Grand Prix is 21- 23 August 2009. There are some excellent lakes in the area for Fishing, from 20 mins away to 2 hours, one of the lakes specialise in Catfish, , sea fishing trips go from Valencia and a little further down the coast.

Hidden Gem!

What a fantastic villa! This was our family holiday, booked at the last minute, and what a find! The villa has everything you could wish for, it was clean and well maintained. It is situated up in the mountains in a national park, away from the hustle and bustle (Bunol being the nearest town just a 10 minute drive away) - just the sounds of birds in the day time and crickets at night. There is no light pollution, so we were able to see the stars and Milky Way so clearly - it was magical! There is plenty of shade to get out of the midday sun, plus loads of open space to top up the tan. The pool is always lovely and cool - a welcome attraction when it gets too hot! The BBQ on the patio area was great and we used this most evenings. We tried making our own Paella, using the special paella pan and gas ring provided - we reckoned it tasted as good as how the Spanish make it! We would definatley recommend this villa and we will hopefully be returning in the not too distant future.

Valencia is a very vibrant city, its nice to have the best of both worlds, a day out shopping or sight seeing and then coming home to total peace and quiet and relaxation, swim, Gin & Tonic, cd, ect, ect ,ect.

Holiday with family friends. Fantastic location up in the mountains, very peaceful and away from it all! Villa is very well appointed with everything one could need - excellent bbq facilities and lovely balcony areas where we sat every every evening watching the stars. The pool was fantastic - used several times every day by everyone. The views across the mountains were superb, saw the eagles a couple of times!

A Relaxing Holiday

A wonderful experience in the mountains of the Sierra Mortes. Isolated, peaceful, with eagles and hoopoes for visitors yet within 10 mins. driving to local villages and a short and fascinating train journey to Valencia (or a scenic drive of approximately 40 mins).
We highly recommend a holiday here.

Magical Place

Six of us stayed at Villa Alarosa last summer and had a wonderful holiday. The villa is well appointed with everything needed for a holiday. Plenty of cool shady areas for the wonderful sunny days both inside and outside by the large pool. Although in the mountains just 5 mins. from the very Spanish town of Bunol it is very easy to get to other towns in the region as well as the old historical city of Valencia. We visited the famous wine regions and purchased wonderful local wines, went to the beaches, and the local nature reserves. There was so much to do of interest and having such accessible roadways it was very easy to get about. Probably one of the most magical moments was sitting by the pool one morning and seeing eagles soaring up the mountainside and then enjoying the wind currents - so close you could almost touch them. A great holiday, relaxing but with lots to do.
The villa is a superb place to enjoy a real touch of Spain with all the conveniences required in a modern world.
We will be back.

Valencia has the oldest indoor food market in europe, and is deffinately worth a look, if you missed it this time round, put it down for your next visit.

Summer holiday 2007

My family and I stayed at Villa Alarosa for the last two weeks of August 2007 so our stay would allow us to go to the Tomatina. My wife and I have 3 children our daughter aged 5 and our two sons aged 10 & 15. We all had a great time at the Villa and whilst out sightseeing including the mountain walks and activities (cycling & climbing). The town below the Villa's mountain is lovely and sits in a canyon split into three levels. Bunol has everything you need from supermarkets, bars, restaurants, bakers, banks & DVD hire shops etc. Not far from Bunol is Valencia on the way to which is a huge super mall with everything you could imagine: cinemas, massive supermarket, lots of food outlets, clothing shops etc. Valencia is a massive city with EVERYTHING! In the villa was plenty of space for us all, the pool is lovely as is the surrounding sunbathing area. The balcony goes around half the Villa so we could have drinks in the evening over looking the sunset, Bunol and out sea. In the morning we would have breakfast with fresh bread from the bakery on the outside table through the kitchen door on the Balcony. The weather was lovely, during the day when at its hottest the Villa has a nice gentle breeze whilst down in Bunol is roasting so you can choose to chill during the day at the Villa exploring the mountain and go down to Bunol in the evening for dinner and sightseeing. Close to the Villa and Bunol are several towns all of which have Fiesta's regularly and markets from which the fresh Fruit, Meat and Fish etc is amazing! Overall Villa Alarosa and the area of Spain in which it is situated are lovely; the locals are all friendly and happy to chat. In Bunol is a square full of children’s play areas and surrounded by bars & restaurants etc for families to relax. All the places we went to were very family orientated. In the Villa are loads of brochures and flyers for scores of places to go for sightseeing, food, days out, adventure sports etc. We also spent one whole day in Benidorm at a massive water park. My family and I would highly recommend a holiday here!
