Luba and I like 103 because we can make believe this is our cottage at the ocean and since almost all of the units are behind us, all we see near us is the pool and the ocean.

I wanted to let you know that I tried to do a review about your Condo 103 at Kaanapali Shores but I couldn't get it to process. We were there Nov. 8th -16th 2010. So I am sending this to you. Your condo is lovely and we really felt comfortable there. It was awesome to be able step out on the lanai and have the beach and pool only a few feet away. We are looking forward to coming back again soon.

Absolutely amazing.

What a wonderful condo and location. This 2 bedroom was beautiful and awesome location. Step outside your patio door and the pool along with restaurant only 10 steps away. Or if you walk out the patio door and walk to your right, your on the beach. Super easy access. It was great playing on the beach and then just running a few steps away to make some lunch. Beautiful. Will definitely be saving all the info for this condo and staying again next time.

We have rented the Paki unit from Luba and Fred for many years and have loved their hospitality and Aloha for Kaamainas as well. Since we live on the island and like to get away to the west side they have always been able to squeeze us in! We loved this Kaanapali shores unit! Great views, nice access to pool + beach, comfortable furnishings and resturant with good price right outside your porch! Many ammenties at this property! The room is very quiet to outside noises eventhough its close to everything! I slept in actually while there which I never do! I highly recommend this unit and plan on staying again! I consider them part of my extended Ohana! Thanks luba + fred

A wonderful 2 bedroom condo with all the ammenities, and great owners!!

My wife, three daughters and I stayed in one of Fred and Luba's Aston Kaanapali Shores condos for two weeks in August of 2011 (I had to select 2013 when entering this review) and loved every minute of our stay. The condo was clean, well decorated and included all the amenities anyone could need, including pool and beach items. Fred and Luba and very accommodating and helpful. We were more than happy with the condo, and we had been to the Aston Kaanapali a few times before. I would recommend any of their units because of the experience we had and the feeling we have of dealing with "good people". Thank you Fred and Luba, we plan on returning and hope we can schedule time in the same unit.

Fantastic Stay Unbelievable Location!

Just read a negative review and cannot believe they are serious!!! This was our 6th stay in Hawaii and it was by far the most perfect unit for our needs. It seemed like we had our own private lanai and literally were just steps to the pool and ocean! We ate every meal outdoors and could hear the soft sounds of the ocean at night.The resort grounds were beautiful and immaculate and the unit was very comfortable and relaxing. The pool was very enjoyable with the bar right at the pool and the staff was extremely accommodating. The beach, honestly just 30 or so steps away, was excellent for both kids and adults--they even set out lounge chairs daily! The owner was easily available if we had any problems (which we did not!). I would not even consider another unit for a return to Maui. HIGHLY RECCOMENDED!

You will be disappointed

This was our fifth trip to Maui always staying here but in a 1-bedroom. This time we decided to upgrade to a 2-bedroom, 2-bath since our kids are getting older and we wanted more room. We rented this 2-bedroom unit and were very disappointed. The pictures on this website make the unit look very attractive. Someone did a good job of avoiding all of the bad remodeling when taking those pictures. Because it was spring break, there were no vacancies anywhere or we would have relocated. We felt like everything was very dirty, the ceiling had 2 different textures on it, depending on which room you were in, the bathroom celing had holes in it, many of the cabinets in the kitchen were unusable, and the freezer door would not open because of its location to the cabinets. And that's just the beginning. We wanted to let everyone know because if you are wanting to splurge on your vacation and stay in a nice place, this is not it. We felt like the condo owners were dishonest with not disclosing the problems in this unit. I highly recommend Kaanapali Shores but I suggest you rent straight from Kaanapali Shores rather than a private owner. That way you know what you are getting, everything is monitored by KS.

Owner's Response: I knew this guest was going to be trouble before she even arrived at the unit. She emailed us several different times asking for all the linens to be washed and made sure that that unit was going to be cleaned. This is not what any of my guests write to me before they get there. My initial gut feeling was not to rent it to this guest and let her go to Aston and rent from them since I could sense somebody that you could not please no matter what we will do. We asked our cleaners to take extra time to make sure that everything was clean and perfect before this guest arrived. We even bought a brand new bedspread just to make a nice impression when they first got there. The cleaners worked overtime to make sure everything was clean and washed again. When the guest arrived we even called her to ask her if she was happy with the room and she said yes. We had no idea she was not happy. We do not know what she is referring to about different ceilings. All of the ceilings in the hotel are the same. Unit 103 has a 9 foot ceiling except in the bathrooms and the hallway. It is the way the unit is constructed. There are some people in this world that no matter what you do, you cannot please them and this guest was like this. I suggest she rent from Aston next time and pay double the price, which was over $500 for a two bedroom unit from them at that time, and while she paid only $249 per day at the height of the season. I am not suggesting just because we are less expensive we do not have a nice and a clean unit with a super location. Perhaps this person will not be happy renting from any of the VRBO owners here. I find it so upsetting when a guest is vindictive in her review reasons I cannot explain. The freezer door is next to the cabinets and obviously opens, otherwise our other guests would have complained years ago. I stayed there after wards and there was nothing wrong with the refrigerator or the freezer. Our pictures are in no way doctored up. We took them ourselves and they are a true reflection of how the unit looks. We are honest and we do not represent our units for what they are not. Please read other reviews before you think that our place is the way this person described here. We take pride in giving the service that has provided us with 35% repeat business over the past 18 years. This can not occur in units where the owners do not care about their guests. We care and it is why we respond to all our reviews.

WHAT A BEAUTIFUL PLACE.

WE STAYED IN THIS WONDERFUL CONDO IN NOVEMBER 2010. THE LOCATION WAS ABSOLUTELY PERFECT,WITH THE :RESTAURANT,POOL, AND THE BEACH JUST A FEW FEET FROM OUR LANAI. EVERYTHING WE NEEDED WAS PROVIDED BY THE QWNERS(EXCEPT GROCERIES.)THERE IS A GROCERIY STORE JUST ACROSS THE STREET FROM KAANAPALI SHORES.

WE ARE LOOKING FORWARD TO OUR TRIP IN 2011 AND STAYING IN THIS SAME CONDO.
