Assos is a small village which nestles around the harbour of its own peninsula and is one of the most picturesque places on the whole of Kefallonia Island. Assos is a 45 minute drive from the airport heading north. This beautiful village will suit those seeking a peaceful retreat who will enjoy the spectacular scenery and the flora and fauna of the area as well as the ambiance provided by the tavernas and cafes surrounding the picturesque harbour in Assos. Less than half an hour's drive you will reach the town of Fiscardo to the north of Assos or Myrtos beach to the south.

When we arrived we couldn't wait to see the view from the balcony and we weren't dissapointed,absoloutely stunning.
The owners arranged transport from the airport and there was water,wine tea,coffee,milk and sugar waiting when we arrived all at no extra cost.
The apartment was very spacious with plenty of room for 4 adults.Fly screens on the windows so could sleep with them open,no mosquitoes and you could hear the sea.
Bliss! Full size bath with a shower so powerfull it nearly knocked me over.The cleaner came every day to empty bins etc,sheets and towels changed and full clean midweek.

The village is lovely,people very friendly,the local taxi driver well worth useing.It was very quiet when we were there the first week in May but I would imagine it gets quite busy with day trippers high season.
Only one small mini market but enough for every day needs.
Theres four or five restaurants and we never had a bad meal.I would definitely reccomend this property to a friend and can't wait to return.E-mail the owners and they will do all they can to help.No complaints about my week away what so ever

Truly stunning Views from Apollonia

We stayed in Apollonia - Absolutely thrilled with this spacious apartment - the views were simply breath taking. It was exceptionally clean - the house keeper comes every day to collect rubbish and comes twice weekly for a full clean and towel and linen change. No complaints what so ever - would highly recommend. The mosquito nets on all the doors and windows are an added bonus - meaning you can sleep with the window open whilst listening to the waves directly below you. Truly stunning. The best accomodation in Assos we think.

A wonderful place to stay in the beautiful village of Assos. The apartment is spacious, comfortable and very well maintained. The views from the balcony are amazing. I would happily return tomorrow.

A stunning apartment in Assos

We have spent a week in Assos at the end of June 2009 and had an amazing holiday. The island itself is beautiful and there are many places to visit, including the famous myrtos beach, fishing village of Fiskardo and the nearby island Ithica.

However, the village of Assos is nestled in a quiet peninsula with lovely tavernas and a small beach. The Apollonia apartment is a stones throw from the beach, with a balcony overlooking the sea. The apartment is also a 5 minute stroll from the tavernas and bars. It has everything that you could possibly want! It was clean, fresh, homely and comfortable and beautifully kept by M. We felt very welcomed and owner Vicky was very helpful in organising the booking and any additional extras that we needed.

It was also very spacious and had plenty of room for 5 adults - we could not have asked for more!

We will definately return and would recommend this apartment and greek island to anyone!!

my husband is 60 this july, so we planned a special holiday to celebrate! we toured the peloponnes for 2 weeks,wonderful! then we travelled to kefallonia by ferry.the island is beautiful,assos wonderful,apollonia appt is stunning! very comfortable,clean and well maintained. the view from balcony ,the best we have had from any property we have stayed in. excellent service from marianna the housekeeper. good restaurants in village.apollonia appt was the perfect,relaxing finale to a wonderful holiday. we would love to come back one day!
