Beautiful recently restored stone farmhouse, furnished to a very high standard. 2 terraces with stone tables, plenty of outdoor space. Large swimming pool and gardens. Underfloor heating/cooling system, which also serves to heat the pool to extend the season. Ping Pong table, badmington and bikes available. One of the bedrooms is in an integral 'gite' with bedroom, shower ,kitchenette and salon with sofa bed, satellite TV etc, which can be part of the house or used as 'granny' flat. The house has 2 satellite TVs, large fireplace in main salon and telephone line. Well equipped kitchen and utility.

The property is 15k from the beautiful town of Uzes, with it's palace, cathedral and busy saturday market. The house is in a small farming hamlet, with vines, sunflowers etc growing behind, and plenty of 'route blanche' for cycling or walking, there is a riding establishment very close by, and a communal tennis court. There are 2 family friendly bar/restaurants a hearty bike ride or short drive away, or the many and varied eateries offered by Uzes. Golf, kayaking, go karting, quad biking are all within a 20/30 min drive away. It is an extremely peaceful and quiet location.

COOKING COURSES APRIL/OCT/JAN: We will be running superb Provençal cooking courses, 6 days to include breakfast and dinner, excursions etc. Please enquire to owners if you would be interested in participating in one of these relaxed and fun filled sessions. Group discounts, and non cooking partners welcome.

Perfect for an off season stay

Our family have just got back from a one week stay at the Grand Mas. The house was immaculate, you feel that it is your home from the moment you arrive. It is a superb refurb of an old farmhouse with exposed stone walls, really neat stone bathrooms and a fabulous french fireplace which threw out amazing heat.
The location is perfect if you want a really relaxed family holiday - you have to go out of your way to even see a car. Our 2 and 5 year old boys were out cycling on the lanes with us every day and loved the daily cycle ride to collect fresh baguettes and croissants (the 2 year old riding on the back for this journey!). There are many good restaurants within 30 minutes drive and loads of gorgeous hill top villages to explore.
Even though it is the end of October none of us put on long sleeves and the adults were almost tempted to swim - the little ones of course had a whale of a time in the pool. The rest of the time was spent playing football on the lawn or table tennis on the terrace with the ocassional game of tennis up at the local courts.
The house is incredibly flexible, with 5 double bedrooms and the separate apartment inside the house. We will come back next year with another family and either an au pair or the grandparents. Actually thinking of that we looked around the smaller house next door (same owners, same look and feel and with its own pool) and if we really wanted to have a big summer get together we could take the two houses together and let the in laws have their own space! There are so many options I recommend you speak to the owners directly - Darian is a delight to deal with and you can tell that she really wants you to have the best holiday possible, nothing is too much trouble for her. Many thank and we WILL be back.

Fabulous House - Wonderful Location

We have visited the house in both summer and winter and it is truly sublime whatever the season. The house itself is beautiful, both inside and out, and so incredibly comfortable.

The area around Mas de L'Aveugle is very pretty and we spent most of our time cycling through the vineyards from the house to the tennis court to the local bar etc etc. There are loads of good restaurants nearby (ask the owners, they have some great recommendations) and plenty to keep everyone entertained.

We have stayed at the Mas twice and will certainly be back soon!

Grand Mas Uzes

We spent 2 weeks in August at the Grand Mas. The house is situated in a very peaceful hamlet surounded by vineyards. The house is in beautiful decorative order througout, clean and well equiped. Bathrooms all very nice. The house is very spacious and ideal for 2 or 3 families sharing. We stayed there with 5 children ranging from the ages of 3 up to 16 and they all had a lovely time. Most the time was spent around the pool area relaxing on the very comfortable sun loungers. The town of Uzes is close by and definately worth a visit, especially on market day, and there are lots of local restaurants, some of which are cycling distance away. I would definately return to this property.
