Sa Cala is a beautiful stone-built villa in a quiet area of Mallorca, recently renovated throughout, and surrounded by lovely countryside. It is set in a large plot of over 2 acres, with mature trees, creating a private setting for a relaxed holiday. The villa is surrounded by traditional terracing, with an 8x5 pool, tables, chairs and sun loungers. 10 minute walk to the lovely local beach, where there are facilities for sailing, windsurfing and a gently shelving beach ideal for family bathing. Inside, the villa is furnished by the owners with tasteful Mallorcan furniture, plus beautiful bathrooms and a modern kitchen with cooker, fridge/freezer, microwave and dishwasher. There is a CD and DVD player, and a wide selection of games and books for whiling away a relaxed evening under the stars. There are 3 top quality golf courses nearby, and the towns of Cala Rajada and Capdepera offer a range of facilities such as local markets, trendy nightclubs, horse riding and tennis.

The area combines pine-backed beaches, lively harbours and rolling hills along the dramatic coast. The sea always seems close, both at the villa and in the towns & villages around. This is a quieter part of Mallorca, ideal for family holidays, restful breaks for couples or golf and tennis trips for friends. There are two excellent tennis clubs nearby, & three golf courses. Sa Cala is surrounded by a national park & areas of outstanding natural beauty, both along the coast, with lovely beaches and walks, & inland, with rolling hills and countryside. Font de Sa Cala is a friendly resort, with excellent restaurants, bars and some shops to meet most needs. The beach bar serves drinks and snacks all day, and the sailing, wind surfing & banana boat facilities are open in season. The historical towns of Capdepera and Arta both have walled castles, and many sites of interest. Cala Rajada is a lovely harbour town, with a wide range of bars & restaurants.

Additional information about rental rates

  • Weekly prices are for 7 day rentals from 3.00 pm on the first day to 10.00 am on the last day. Different arrangements can be made (5 days, 7 days, 9 days, 11 days, 17 days, 19 days etc.), see daily prices. A 50 % deposit is required to secure the booking, with the balance due six weeks before arrival. A separate £250 returnable security deposit is required with the final rental payment & will be returned in full if no damage or loss has occurred. Prices include water, gas, electricity, garden, pool maintenance & cleaning. Cleaning, linen and towels (except beach-towels) is done once a week on Saturday with change of linen and towels. Extra cleaning can be arranged and paid for locally. We are already taking bookings for 2010 so early booking is recommended.

Bedroom 2 a large, beamed room with a large double bed and stylish bedroom furniture, with a separate door to its own terrace area. The en suite shower room is tiled in traditional Mallorcan tiles. Bedroom 3 has 5 bunk beds in and is usually used by children. It is next to the family bathroom. All the bedrooms are furnished and decorated in a stylish way to create a real home from home feel. You will be delighted with the quality of fixtures and fittings, which the owners bought with their own use in mind. The rooms are well spread out to provide space for people to spread out around the house.

Tennis: This area is famous for its tennis clubs, where Nadal and Kornikova have trained (Nadal comes from Manacor, which is nearby). The tennis Club Aquiat provides 15 courts, with paddle tennis courts, and an excellent club house serving drinks and meals throughout the day and evening. Special music nights on Mondays are a particular favorite in high season. Tennis is available throughout the year.

Golf: The 3 golf courses nearby are Canyamel, Capdepera and the Mallorcan PGA Open course at Pula. All are top quality courses, with beautiful holes set into the hills and local scenery, & views to the sea. Each also has an excellent restaurant and bar for relaxing with friends in a fantastic setting. They are within 5-10 minutes drive, and hence this is a great location for a golf holiday or for those who enjoy a round while away.

Sa Cala - a perfect holiday home.

Sa Cala is a beautiful property, set in a quiet rural setting, but within 10 minutes walk (2 mins drive) of Cala Rajada and the beach and bars there, and 10 minutes drive from the larger resort of Font de Sa Cala, an attractive harbour resort, with some fantastic restaurants on the front. Try Noah's for breakfast - the best fried potatoes, egg and bacon dish to be had anywhere, and great for that morning after feeling!
The house has 3 well proportioned bedrooms, 2 with ensuites, and a well equipped kitchen. The sitting room looks out over the terrace and the swimming pool, where we spend the majority of our time. Suitable for family holidays (perfect for 2 families sharing) and groups of friends, and highly recommended. I will be visiting for my 4th time in May/June 2009!

What a lovely villa - set in it's own grounds, with a great pool and terraces for private sun bathing and relaxing.

Super facilities in the villa and a lovely beach we walked to through the woods.

Das Haus ist liebevoll und toll eingerichtet. Bei der Ankunft war die Villa hervorragend vorbereitet, sehr sauber, toller Pool und es war einfach ein Traumurlaub. Unbedingt eine gute Wegbeschreibung einholen. Netter Kontakt mit den Vermietern (Rachel).
Wir werden das Haus auf jeden Fall wieder buchen und es ist nur zu empfehlen. Mietwagen ist unbedingt erforderlich um die verschiedenen Strände der Umgebung zu testen. Der Strand "Calla Agulla" etwa 10 Minuten mit dem Pkw (dort überdachte Parkplätze (3,- Euro)) war unserer Meinung nach der Beste.
Super Einkaufsmöglichkeiten in der Nähe, Supermärkte Eroski und Lidl waren ebenfalls in 5-10 Minuten zu erreichen. Cala Rajada hat eine schöne Promenade und dort unbedingt das "Cafe Nohas" besuchen (tolles Flair, gutes reichhaltiges Essen).
