lovely two bedroom condo with views from garden of the bay

We enjoyed our stay at Mahogany Run. It is a delightful little condo, very quiet and peaceful. It is not large, but has a lovely outdoor sheltered sitting area, additional deck with table and chairs and a nice chaise. There is also a lovely garden that I really enjoyed. Decor outside was just wonderful, it was a delight to sit there after a day at the beach. It is on a hillside, and it is necessary to walk a bit downhill to beautiful Morne Rouge beach. Of course, remember that the return walk is up. We are in our late 60's but did not find this too objectionable. We enjoyed the boutique Kalinago Hotel right next door. We were able to use their beach lounges and ate at the beach bar and the Fedelis Restaurant a few times. Food was very good. Bed was comfortable, and baths seemed to be recently remodeled and were quite nice. I agree with another review, no matter how I tried, the bathroom floor got a bit wet. Kitchen was sufficient for our needs, but we really did not do any food preparation there. A microwave would be a welcome addition. We bought cereal and drinks but ate most meals out. I agree with another post that the condo is a bit dark and needs more light. I found it hard to put on makeup. Perhaps the addition of a bright desk light in the master bedroom would help. Coffee pots were hilarious, but they did the trick! Bikes and kayaks were provided, but there was no way we would bike those hills!! Wonderful location! We walked to the mall, and Grand Anse Beach. Short affordable taxi drives to great restaurants, Aquarium, the Beach House, and the Flamboyant Restaurant. Also close to St. George by taxi or walk to mall and catch the bus. It's a real stitch! Absloutely loved Grenada, better than we ever expected! Do take the bus at least a little, a real taste of the island. We took it around the whole island! And get to the rain forest, we did the Seven Sisters hike with Mandoo Tours....wonderful! Mandoo is very professional and I recommend him highly. Oh, and Adris was just wonderful, but she does not work on Saturday or Sunday. She kept things clean and tidy. It is a 2 bedroom condo, but my husband and I agreed we would have been cramped with 2 more people. Caution: Boulanjerie at the mall does not take credit cards. Also, a phone is provided, but you must buy your own minutes. When we arrived, it was unusable. Luckily Adris got minutes put on for us with the help of her two very polite sons! They knew more than the rest of us!

My husband and I just returned from our first trip to Grenada and we were so pleased with the apartment and found it to be a perfect home-base for our week in Grenada. While you can't really see the water/beach from the apartment it was only a two minute walk to Mourne Rouge beach which was great! In addition, we were very close to Grand Anse beach (walk-able) and short drive to grocery stores, St. George's and many great restaurants.

The communication with the owner was prompt, the property is well cared for and the lovely Adris arrives each morning to look after the apartment and keeps is ultra tidy.

We can't wait to return in a couple of years with our daughter.

You have got to be joking..loved number 4 ! Stayed for three days at the end of December while our boat was being fixed .Very last minute but the place was wonderful .Very clean ,bed comfy ,air con great ,kitchen up to date lots of extras..I could go on.Adris was wonderful ....cheekily I brought all my washing from the boat and she washed and ironed the lot,even though I was expecting to do it myself as had left on the bed ready to tackle after a swim.Instead it was all done and ironed in a neat pile ,luxury! We have told our friends who are coming over to have a week with us in Antigua and then a week in Grenada to book here and we are going to stay when we bring the boat back down to Trinidad when we leave for the UK.This place is a little gem in a huge slice of paradise .We met Mike Bridget ‘s taxi driver as he bought us here from Port Louis where he is based .Adris and Mike have worked for the family for six and half years and make up a great team who are very friendly and helpful .How can anyone say this place is expensive for everything you get...it is wonderful .We booked last minute through the owner who was very helpfull.
