Apartment of 100 square meters, in a characteristic historic house (A. D. 1700) just refurbished with very nice local tiles . Near to the beach at 4 km from the Sorrento center. At the first and second floor, it is composed from 3 bed rooms (one little studio with 1/ 2 beds, 1 main sleeping room with a double bed and the third sleeping room with 2 single beds) 2 bathrooms; a cooking room and a spacious living with a nice vault. On the upper level you have a wide terrace when you can eat and live with a sun deck from where you have a beautiful view of Napoli gulf and the surrounding hills. You have several shops and restaurants at a walking distance. In the touristic season you can reach by elevator the beach (sandy or rocky) that's just under the house. A bus pick you at Capodichino Airport. The house is well linked by bus to Sorrento, Pompei, Ercolano, Napoli. From Sorrento port you have several battles to Positano, Amalfi, Vietri.

The house is located in Sorrento - Meta (an ancient village of sailors). This is the ideal site to make trips to Pompei, Ercolano, by the railway Circumvesuviana or by bus. You can reach easily Positano and Amalfi by bus. You may also visit by bus or by boat (from Sorrento) Positano, Amalfi, Ravello and Capri island. A bus link stops at a hundred meters from the house. At the same distance you can find an elevator to go to the beach. From the beautiful church S. Maria del Lauro, at one kilometer to the house, a bus pick up you in one hour to the Naples Capodichino Airport.

our great holiday

We went to Sorrento for a week as my mate had a congress there and picked on this appartment as we wanted some privacy not just a Hotel. We were looking for some peace rather than staying in the Sorrento chaos and after all Sorrento it isn't at all far from Meta...

He could take the train every morning, the station is walking distance from the house, and be at work in 5 minutes...just the time me and my friends needed to reach the beach from home! yes correct the beach it's just there with all the services.

The appartment is very nice and tidy, very interesting with the different levels on which it's disposed. The terrace is great, the view marvellous and we had great breakfasts and "aperitivo". If you don't bother going to the beach, laying in the sun up there it's just what you need.

The house is very bright, nice the view also from the living room, very comfortable too. We had great dinners in the fully furbished kitchen, dishwasher, washingmachine and all you need. The bedrooms and bathrooms are nice and adorably decorated, plenty of space.

You can of course go out for dinner, restaurant and pizzeria are close by, but, just outside the house you can buy the most incredible mozzarella fresh made every day. Th eother shops have everything you need so we mainly cooked at home.

I really do reccomend this house. The location is quiet but everything is so close that you can go around Sorrento, Positano, Capri, Amalfi...everywhere we absolutely no problem at all.

Away with my sister and girlfriends for my 50th

The apartment was close to the beach and the views were great from the roof terrace. We spent many evenings watching the view from there. We saw much of the town and the locals were always pleasant and helpful.
It was a short walk to the train station so we easily visited other towns and sites in the area. Don't forget to stop at the local cafe for your your morning coffee and pastry. Many limosene services in the area so take advantage and hire one for a trip up the Almalfi Coast.
Lots of local produce and food to buy but if you don't want to cook, the apartment is close to some great restaurants.

Our holiday in Sorrento May 08

We went over to Sorrento for a two week break and chose this appartment as it looked very pleasant. Our initial reaction on arrival was that it appearred to be a little too far out of Sorrento itself but as it turned out this was no problem whatsoever. The bus service is close by, cheap and very frequent. There is also a train station within 15 minutes walk. All in all it was most pleasant to come back to the relative peace and quiet when compared to the hectic pace of Sorrento central.

The appartment was very clean and well presented. The terrace and sun deck were excellent for the hot weather we had and afforded excellent views. The two showers were ideal and the coolness of the tiled rooms was just what was needed. The sitting area is spacious and well lit with plenty of natural light coming from the large windows that opened both outwardly and at a tilt which allowed air to circulate without much noise intrusion. The bedrooms were of a nice size with plenty of storage space.

The appartment had all that was needed to sustain normal existence and we did not want for anything. Local shops were just metres away and there was an absolutely first class restaurant within 200 metres of the appartment ( a most pleasant surprise for an out of town location). We ate there five times in all and became well acquainted with the owner who was friendly and passionate about his food. Not the cheapest of places but the overall dining experience was very special.

Whilst I have no hesitation in recommending this property there may be some young people who would find it too quiet and would see the journey into Sorrento as being hassle. Whilst I would not agree with this point of view, it would be understandable from a teenage perspective.

All in all a very nice property well worth the money.
