Needs some extra cleaning

The carpet was very dirty and stained. Had a problem with the door locking system and smoke detector. The vertical blinds were all bent and broke. Also for a four bedroom home not enough toilet tissue. Towels were all ragged. I would also suggest the cleaning person needs to vacume the floor better before guest arive. I've stayed in Indian Creek before at another home that was much cleaner. Over all house needs a overall cleaning.. Needs a better pool alarm system.
Owner's Response: As villa owners we are always trying to provide guests with a pleasurable experience when they stay in one of our villas. We too are disappointed that these guests obviously felt that the home did not meet their expectations. The carpet that was referred to, which we felt was not as bad as the review suggested, has actually been replaced with a tiled floor as part of a general upgrading of the living area. The blinds have also been replaced in the upgrade. I have every confidence in our cleaning team and feel that the impression of dirtiness may have stemmed from the odd stain on the carpet This villa is always cleaned to a high standard. I think that it is unfortunate that these guests stayed just prior to the upgrade.
Our supply of toilet tissue always consists of a roll on the holder in each bathroom with an extra wrapped spare roll, We provide an initial supply of toilet tissue but not for the whole of the stay.
As far as the comment regarding the pool alarm is concerned, I suspect that this was due to the alarm system working too well! It requires deactivation when going in/out of the pool doors and will activate if this is not done, a major safety feature and one that we do not intend to change.
As I said before, I am sorry that these guests were disappointed with the villa. This is a busy rental property and comments like these are very rarely received. If the issues raised were significant then I would expect to have had similar comments from other guests.
We have addressed all of the issues raised and I am sure that if this family were to return to inspect the villa they would not be disappointed.
