My husband and I spent a week in this convenient and well-appointed apartment. Our trip, which included a stay in Paris, was our first experience with Home Away and were not sure what to expect. I am delighted to say it could not have been easier and the descriptions and photos of the Lyon apartment were accurate. The owner responded immediately to our inquiries. My French is limited so all of my emails were in English and she responded in English. The contract was in French but standard & easy enough to have translated by a friend.

The apartment was a 'typical Lyon' aprtment - lovely and well maintained with all of the small conveniences well thought out by the owners. The furniture was comfortable and the kitchen well equiped for light meal preparation. The shower was terrific! The owner was gracious and actually offered to pick us up by car at the train station - we walked the ~ 4 blocks without difficulty. Madame met us at the aprtment and we were able to communicate with her limited English and my very limited French. She had a notebook available in the apartment with brochures for local attractions and restaurants and she and her husband took us on a car tour of the area!

The apartment was well located - close to the train station, shops and restaurants of old Lyon. My husband and I are in our 60s and love to walk - the apartment is on the 3rd floor, without an elevator, but easy enough to manage.

We would recommend this apartment to friends and family and definitely stay again if we are able to return.
