Situated in the heart of Bergues, very near to the fortifications and with a direct view over the location site of the world famous movie “Bienvenue chez les ch’tis” (“Welcome to the sticks”), you will have an amazing time in Bergues, but will also be able to visit Bruges, see the 2 caps sites or the beaches of the cote d’opale.
You’ll be able to discover the joys of sand yachting on the huge beaches (10 km), visit the breweries where local beers are produced, or have lunch in an estaminet, a typical Flemish cafe.
You can also take a day trip to Lille (40 min by car or an hour by train- frequent connections) and visit the Northern capital and its modern art museum in Villeneuve d’Ascq and the Swimming pool of Roubaix.
To sum it up, a week in the north will allow you to discover the warmth and friendliness of the locals and the typical landscapes of the region; that will make for memories you won’t be ready to forget.
See you soon!
