A really charming flat in the historic centre of Florence. Centrally located in one of the oldest streets in Florence, in the Via La Pergola area, near to the Duomo, Piazza Signoria and Santa Croce. Very convenient for sightseeing. Although situated in the heart of Florence, the apartment is very quiet and peaceful. It is located in a delightful city-centre small 'neighbourhood' with its own good, reasonably-priced restaurants, coffee-bars and artisan shops, not far from the open-air food market of Sant'Ambrogio. The apartment has been restored with immense care, using the finest Tuscan materials, with fine tiles, parquet floors and marble bathroom. It is really well decorated. It is airy and bright, with a small terrace. The beamed entrance hall is set up as a second living-room. The apartment has a really spacious feel - 75 square metres or 805 square feet. It is ideal for 2/3 people. Telephone and Internet access. Really good air-conditioning (included in the price).

This apartment in the historic city centre of Florence is the perfect base to explore Florence and Tuscany. Florence is one of the most popular venues in the world and deservedly so. Stunning art and architecture, great food and wine, and convenient for exploring nearby gems like Siena and the wonderful Chianti countryside. Florence is a lively city, with open-air markets. The Sant' Ambrogio open-air market is a short walk from the apartment as is the Piazza dei Ciompi Anqtiques area. There are numerous theatres and music throughout the year. A trip to Fiesole, in the hills above Florence, is about 20 minutes by bus and well recommended. In the summer, there are several public swimming pools and the beach is 1 hour away (frequent trains); there is skiing in the winter in several locations not far from Florence. Notes: The apartment is beautifully decorated. It is bright and airy. Parquet floors in living room, bedroom, entrance hall/second living. Tiles in dining area and kitchen. Beamed ceiling in the large entrance hall which is set up as a second living room (with tv) in addition to the main living room. This gives a very spacious feel to the apartment. Small flowered terrace. Not suitable for young children. The flat is on the third floor of a very old house. There is no lift. This is the only drawback of a flat that most guests consider otherwise perfect. Broadband internet access. Air-conditioned.

VISITORS BOOK: A delightful home from home, and great to get back to after our days out. The flat is much bigger than it seems! It is really spacious. The restaurant nearby is excellent. We were amazed - we were not expecting anything like this level of comfort. Try the coffee bar up the street on the corner - awesome! A tip: go marketing in the open-air Sant'Ambrogio market for food like we did: better and less crowded than the big market at San Lorenzo, and just around the corner. Those flights of stairs got us so fit - we worked off all the great meals! We had a really enjoyable visit to Florence and were extremely happy staying in the flat. It’s certainly very comfortable and in a fabulous location – we would love to stay there again before too long. I’ve already recommended it to several people.

PARKING: There is an enclosed 24-hour car-park garage with attendants in the street directly behind the apartment: 25 Euro a day. As an alternative, we suggest the following enclosed car-park near Piazza della Liberta which is a short walk or bus-ride from the apartment: PARCHEGGIO DEL PARTERRE Via Madonna Della Tosse, 9 50129 Firenze Telefono / Fax: 055.5001994 Daily 24h rate: 18,00 Euro. Nightly rate (from 18:00 to 09:00): 11,50 Euro. Weekly rate 24h: 65,00 Euro. There are other enclosed car-parks, please ask us for web link.

Residence of Character and Charm

The apartment is as it appears in the photos, clean, tastefully decorated, fully equipped and absolutely brilliant. My wife and I stayed for a week in August and found everything to our liking. It is a haven to explore the city, being in easy (10 mins) walking distance to the centre and offers an oasis of calm when returning from a hot day sightseeing or touring. It is up four sets of stairs so does require some fitness to approach in comfort. The most incredible room in the place however is not illustrated which seems bizarre as the bathroom was the best part. It is admitedly small containing only a shower, toliet and basin but it is ingeniously designed and all in cool marble. It is even possible to sit on the loo and shower your tired feet all at the same time. Bliss! We found the kitchen a tight squeeze but fully functional and quite cosy. Everything is provided right down to the clothes-pegs for drying essential laundry. There are books left behind for light reading mainly in English including many giudes to the area. There is also a radio-CD player and a DVD player should you wish. We found access no problem and were left alone entirely the whole week. We cannot fault the owners or the property. It was a treasure of a find.

Apartment in the Heart of Florence

The apartment was a perfect base for exploring the city. When we arrived we were greeted warmly & shown around by the caretakers who were also neighbours. The photos give an accurate impression of the appartment and it is very comfortable for a like minded couple wanting a base from which to explore Florence and it environs. It is very quiet & peaceful. One of our highlights, a few minutes walk away, was an evening on the Piazza Santa Croce watching a dramatic performance of The Divine Comedy.Public transport is a very reasonable way to get around the city, the nearest bus stop a couple of minutes away. There are good restaurants & coffee bars all near at hand and a little cheaper than in the main tourist Piazzas.
In summary we think we were lucky to find this property as a base for our holiday this summer & would reccomned it to you.

Quiet and spacious apartment

Stayed here three nights in May and felt like a native. Apartment is quiet, has high ceilings, and large cool rooms offering respite from the city's heat and bustle. Bathroom is very ample with walk-in shower, and filled with morning light. Lots of sun, in fact, as the apartment is on the top floor. It also has a small outdoor terrace on which we took a.m. coffee and p.m. wine while pondering in Forsteresque fashion the surrounding rooftops of Florence. Great open air market five minutes away, many shops and fine restaurants closer than that. About a 15 minute walk to the center of town. Landlord and neigbors across the hall very helpful; apartment spotless and well appointed/ provisioned. Couldn't have been finer.

Lovely spacious well equipped flat

This is a lovely spacious well equipped flat in a quiet area of Florence about 10 minutes walk from the Uffizi. It has a small covered balcony (if you are lucky, the local and good string quartet will be playing!). A parking garage is on the parallel street and solves the car problem. The owner is very helpful in giving advice and in prebooking museums (well worth doing in the high tourist season). The kitchen is good enough and the trattoria on the next street (the way to the garage) is excellent. The only concern is that the flat is on the 3rd floor so, if you don't like steps, the flat won't suit you.

wonderful Florence apartment

We had a great 2 weeks in Florence and loved wandering the streets, shops and markets; and of course the many galleries and museums. The apartment location is excellent for exploring all of Florence on foot. The nearby smaller produce market (Sant Ambrogia) we really enjoyed and bought home the makings of many great meals. Not complete without a bottle of Vin Santo and a bag of cantuccini for dessert of course! We enjoyed many fun and atmospheric lunches in the Trattoria La Rocca within the Sant Ambrogia market. An excellent place to dine with child!!

We did day trips to Fiesole (by bus) and Lucca and Siena (by train) which were all different and very enjoyable.

Your apartment is terrific and we enjoyed very much having a home of our own on the land for a short while. We found it very comfortable, well equipped and a warm welcoming place to come home to each day. We will be sure to recommend it to any of our family or friends that decide to holiday in Florence in the future.

Your assistance in the booking and our arrival etc was personal and helpful and we thank you for that. İt couldnt have gone more smoothly from our perspective.
