'Relaxing', 'get away from it all', a modern 2 bedroom house 5 minutes from the sea. The house situated in the small resort of El Mojon, 5 minutes walk to the sea, is ideal for a relaxing break. With the airport being only 10 minutes drive, this property provides you with an opportunity to experience a resort close to the sea, but without the usual corresponding noise, clubs. Nearby (5 mins car - 25 mins walk) is the resort of Lopagan and the famous therapeutic mud flats, which attract visitors in their droves. If you do not fancy the 'raw' mud, you can book in for more refined treatments at the new thallasotherapy centre. With a car you can explore further afield: the historic city of Murcia, the coastal harbour of Cartegna or the shopping town of Torrevieja. There are a few pubs within 5 mins walk, both English and Spanish. Nearby resorts offer a more cosmopolitan and lively atmosphere.

Only 10 minutes from San Javier airport, situated in el mojon this property has the charm of the Spanish resort of Lopagan on one side and the mainly English resort of Torrevieja (and all the strips leading up to it) on the other. Inland approximately 30 minutes away you have the historic town of Murcia and a number of superb golf courses, including Polaris World (10 mins) on the way. The market towns of San Pedro del Pinatar and Pilar del Horadada only 5 minutes away.

Additional information about rental rates

  • Cleaning charges will be in addition to the above. Normal charge is 50 Euros and use of bed settee 60 Euros. These are to be paid locally. A deposit in form of a cheque of £50 is required - this will not be cashed unless significant damage to the property. Travel to and from the airport to the property can be arranged. Additionally, if you are hiring a car someone can meet you and guide you to the property - although this should not be needed. There is a charge for travel, usually around 20 euros each way, but please check on booking.
  • Discounts. Returning renters will receive a 5% discount on their next booking, if booked within 3 weeks of the end of holiday.
  • If booking for 3 weeks or more a discount will be given. Please ask. However, as rates for electricity and water greatly increased in 2009, we can only discount a certain amount and we do have to cover costs!

The house was clean and well appointed with all the things you might need. We have stayed at this property twice now and have booked again for June. The house was a short distance from the sea, with a beach bar. The walks along the sea shore and nature preserve provided very pleasant exercise. A trip to the local Spa hotel is also well worth a visit. Restaurants and Bars nearby provide good value. The cost of renting this property is exceptionally good.
Recommended for:  Age 55+, Sightseeing, Families with Teenagers, Families with Young Children, People with Disabilities

This is a lovely house with good-sized comfortable bedrooms and three terraces. The roof terrace is private and is cooled by a sea breeze. It is very well equipped. It is in a quiet location near a lovely beach. We particularly enjoyed using the bikes, riding to Torre in the morning for breakfast and also around the salt lakes.( It is worth taking your binoculars) The key holders, Dan and Grace were most helpful allowing us to stay in the house late on our day of departure. I would unreservedly recommend this house to anyone wanting a quiet holiday near the sea.

Cold at night, some sunny and windy days. House very clean and queit. English TV at night helped as did the local 2 bars (but did need the heating on). Not a time I would normally book for spain, but the long walks along the windswept sea, sitting on an almost deserted beach, watching the waves and the kite surfers certainly set me up for a hectic Christmas back here. PS the excellent massages at the health and leisure centre helped!
Recommended for:  Girls Getaway, Sightseeing, Families with Young Children, Romantic Getaway

holiday near the beach in december

A good clean holiday home, everything is there what you need,very quiet,in december 2009 cold nights but the heating works good (but in whole Europe it was very cold),nice English television, two balcony's and a terrace to catch the sun. Two of the three mountainbikes are good to use (one for a adult and one for a little adult or child) for a ride along the beach or to Lo Pagan etc.. Also walking along the beach and the salt lakes is very quiet and interesting, watching birds,waves etc..
Recommended for:  Age 55+, Girls Getaway, Tourists without a Car, Sightseeing, Families with Young Children
