Our week in a wintery paradise

We found the Gite Pomme Vert, Les Pommiers to be a truly wonderful place to stay. We stayed in the second week of January, the weather was miserable, but that didn’t matter at all. The light pouring through the wall of windows gave the feeling of living in a light bowl. It rained, it blew and it sometimes shone outside and we enjoyed all of mother nature’s display from the toastie comfort of our beautiful Gite. There were so many places to visit in the area but, if we didn’t make it out of the Gite, it didn’t seem to matter, as it was just so comfortable.
The wood burning stove placed in the centre of the room, complete with a whole shed of wood, heated the place so well we sometimes had to cool the place down.
One could literally turn up here with a basket of food and a few clothes. Everything has been carefully thought of and is ready and waiting for you to use.
The interior is also beautifully decorated, very warm and homely. We felt very relaxed very quickly, which was great as we were on holiday.
We have a one-year-old child and even he was catered for. There is a baby changing table, a baby bath, a travel cot, high chair, booster seat, toys, games, a swing, ping-pong, boules, books, the wonderful gardens and we were told some friendly cows in the summer.
Martine and Francois have created a lovely home from home.
Great people, great place to stay, highly recommended, will definitely stay again.
Owner's Response: thank you for having discovered the charm of our house in the winter .... it portends desirable attraction in its summer!
