Sunny Beach or Slanchiev Briag as it is known in Bulgaria is famous for its long white sandy beach stretching over 7km. The sands shelve gently into the sea making it ideal for young families and water sports. Very warm and sunny during May-September - remember to pack your sun cream! For those more intrepid travellers who hire a car, you can head north or south to explore lots of interesting little towns or villages to stop off for a spot of lunch. The ancient town of Nessebar is at the south end of the bay on a rocky outcrop, and there you can wander the streets and step back in time. The best seafood restaurants of the area can be found here. For a break from the beach why not visit the cosmopolitan town of Bourgas where you will be amazed at the low prices for food, drink & trendy clothes. In addition to the fabulous beach, 2 water parks can be found in Sunny Beach, a fun day out for adults & children alike. A comfortable transfer time of less than 30 mins from the airport.
