Photos and Description of the Stresa vacation apartment rental

This charming apartment (50m2) is situated in a period house in the historic centre of Stresa. The apartment was recently renovated and it has has been finished to a high standard and tastefully furnished. In the car-free pedestrianised zone, it is quiet and close to many restaurants, boutiques, shops and cafes. Very close to the Palazzo dei Congressi.

Free parking 100-200 m away. Minutes from Lake Maggiore where you can take a boat trip to the islands or even to Switzerland or swim and sail and practice water sports.

For 5 people, I have a bigger apartment in the same house.

I also have other rental properties in Stresa and on Lake Maggiore and rentals on Lakes Orta, Como, Garda and Garda.

Large living room with galley kitchen and table and chairs, satellite TV, and double (153 cm) and single bed . Spacious bathroom with large shower. Private terrace at back with table and chairs for eating al fresco. Balcony at the front, Air-con included. WiFi Internet. Near railway station with direct train to Milan and bus-stop to Baveno and Arona very close. Sleeps up to 3 people.

Perfect location, perfect place!

Whilst in Italy we stayed in Varenna on Lake Como and in Portofino, but our favourite by far was Stresa Residence and Stresa itself. The owner was extremely helpful and gave us good advice on the area, I would recommend this to anyone. 5 out of 5!

LOVELY CLEAN APARTMENT

The apartment is right in the centre of Stresa, with many bars, restaurants, shops and the lake within easy walking distance. Two of the restaurants are a few doors away. Stresa is a beautiful town and we would love to visit again in the summer. Boat trips are available from the ferry terminal where you can visit the islands within the lake. Although the house on Bella Island wasnt open during the time we visited, you could still disembark and have a walk around part of the island.

The apartment was exactly the same as the pictures, lovely and clean. The bed drops down from the wall and the kitchen area is hidden behind wall cupboards, which made the apartment spacious. Everything was brand new with a lovely bathroom and walk in shower.

It also had self adjusting heating controls, which made the apartment really comfortable and warm during our stay.

There is a balcony overlooking the street and quite a large terrace area though the bathroom, with table and chairs for four people.

The communication between Chantal and the owner was very helpful, friendly and efficient.

I would certainly stay here again and would recommend to anyone. If you want to stay in Stresa, it is ideal for a couple who enjoy the Italian hospitality and eating out.

Bouganville apartment at Stresa Residence

We were looking for a centrally located place to stay, where we did not need a car but we did not want to pay the high hotel prices in Stresa. The Stresa Residence was just what we wanted. Although we visited the town out of season, there was still plenty to see and do in Stresa and around Lake Maggiore.
The whole area is very beautiful and Stresa itself is a very elegant town with its grand hotels and promenade. The lake is minutes away and a variety of restaurants and shops as well as a very good supermarket are literally on the doorstep. The railway station is a 10 minute walk and there is a bus-stop virtually outside the flat.
The house which is located in an area closed to traffic is divided into 2 studio flats and a larger apartment for 5 which is on two floors. Although right in the centre, it is very quiet (the flat is double-glazed and only noise one really hears is the intermittent sound of the church bells!). The flat had a good size terrace with table and chairs and we were able to eat outside.
The apartment was very clean and well-maintained and furnished in a modern, restful style with plenty of storage space, a lovely bathroom and a comfortable pull-down bed. The kitchenette area is quite simple but had all the requisites for preparing and cooking meals, including a dishwasher, mini-oven and kettle. The owner was very helpful and friendly.
Last but not least, the WiFi was very fast! We would highly recommend it!
